Default Awesome!

Just got my blood work results back from yesterday's tests everyone.

After about 3 months of being on a low carb plan based off of Atkins (identical Induction, OWL is where it starts to veer off some), I am happy to say:

Everything (glucose, cell count, cholesterol, etc.) looked great, including a high HDL count!

This is medical confirmation in addition to:
my doctor verbally confirming he is pleased with my checkup
my husband and friends commenting on my physical appearance improving
my own weighing/measuring/looking in the mirror and seeing improvement
and last but not least, a significant improvement in how I feel every day
I should have the printed results in a day or two and will post the actual numbers, but I just had to wag my fingers at the nay-sayers and show that while a way of eating may not be right for -everyone-, it is perfect for some of us.

Yeah I need to get back over there and post...and I need to start hitting the gym every day again. You busted me.

Been hard to find time to get there with all the doctor's appointments, dental appointments and spring? (more like summer) cleaning. I don't know how it is elsewhere (it was different when DH was in the army for sure), but at this USAF base you do all checkups, exams, teeth cleanings, annual physicals, etc. (anything that is regularly scheduled - not emergencies) only during the month before, the month during and the month after the sponsor's (military member's, DoDers or contractor's) birthday. DH's birthday is in August.

I have been doing exercise here at home, even going for a jog a few times from here, but I don't feel I'm getting the same kind of intense workout I get at the gym.

I'll start hitting gym again and post over there again after relatives leave on 8/4. No excuses.

Congratulations, Snapless! That's good motivation to stick to a diet!

And just might motivate me to get some blood work done.
