This hasn't been well publicized here. I also have no idea where a 5K course is in my area. It would also be nice if we had groups who were doing it together but there hasn't been time to organize that either. I did a 5K with my dog a couple years ago to raise money for the american cancer society so I know I CAN do it but again it was an organized event.

This is not formal at all, Petra. The goal is to get as many 3FC'ers to simply do 5K of exercise this weekend, however they see fit. I agree that it would be nice to organize a formal event too though!

Maybe for the 2nd Annual 3FC 5K there can be a little more formality!

In the meantime, if you need help planning your own route, go here:
http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/
Using Google maps, you can plot a 5k course, starting anywhere. Then, all you have to do is get out there and do it!

http://www.mapmyrun.com/ will allow you to map out a course for yourself near your home
I'm so in!

Sorry I didn't respond here. I signed up on the thread you provided the link to. I am in the Can't Get Away From My Kids category.
Azure/Mandalinn, thanks for those links. I am going to use them to see if the full track around the park behind our house is really 1.5 miles.
This is a really good incentive to do something on the weekend.

If this is only 1.5 miles. I'm sure I can handle it. It will definately involve dogs. I signed up for the Relay for Life at work today. That doesn't occur until next month.
