To answer your question, no...but we did romp around all night last night....and the idiot exchanged the York PP's for the sugar free kind and left it in the car!!!...what an idiot!...but truly excellent in bed soooo.....I don't even care about that stupid chocolate anymore (lost 3 lbs this week), I'll just wait for my chocoperfection bars to come. I've been all week without my "maltitol" sweetened chocolates...so I guess I can wait 1 more week! As far as my BF...I think he should just stick to what he knows best!;) As far as DH, trust me...it'll come naturally...for some reason you just feel sooo sexy when your losing weight...I don't know...maybe it's just me, but maybe we should buy ourselves (cuz leaving to the men...huhhhh...don't know), a piece of sexy lingerie for like every 5 or 10 lbs lost...Just something to make ourselves feel pretty/sexy..ya know like victoria secret??? Vicky's Secret!!!! Of course, I think it will be cause for celebration when I throw out these, "granny panties" I'm wearing. I finally started wearing them at Halloween because all my other panties STARTED ROLLING DOWN MY BELLY WHILE I WAS WALKING AROUND. I was forced to keep a hand on my hip with the elbow at a jaunty angle to hold them up which really ended up looking like a fat impersonation of Posh Spice. The only other time that kind of thing happened to me was when I was pregnant. For some reason, even the pregnant pantyhose would all of a sudden just start rolling down my waist. That was actually worse though because as the pantyhose waist rolled down it would pick up speed. I could be standing in front of 100 people talking and frantically be slapping my hand at the ever growing circle creeping down my waist, hips and finally stopping at my thighs. God.

If you like the granny panties you will love this. As lily is my inspiration, today, I went down to the gym and made my first attempt at an excruciating bit of midevil torture known as "BodyPump". It is a group exercise class using the long bar bar bell that you can attach various weights to. Sweet Baby Jesus and All that Is Holy (and I don't say that lightly)...
Of course, I had to just use the bar with no weights on it (which at least is common for all the first timers). I was fine with the upper body stuff. The squats were a nightmare beyond compare. My legs are still shaking and the class finished at 11:15. It is Noon now. Walking back to the car I thought I was having some kind of stroke because my right leg would not obey me. It was swinging out to the right and the ground felt (and still feels) like it is moving beneath my feet. How I got into this degree of complete and total lack of fitness astounds me. Thank God I had to remove my glasses so I could not see myself very well in the mirror during that exercise class. All I could see was this large shape with a small head dipping about 1/2 as low as everyone else was during squats. Apparently the humongous sports bra I have been wearing since October either has gotten too big or the spandex has finally given up the ghost because my right boob (which is always larger than my left right before my period) kept leaping out of the side of the bra (yes I had a tee shirt on too) like it thought I was Tara Reid at an awards ceremony or Janet Jackson at the superbowl. I need a nap now. SC |
My right boob also needs a nap because it exercised more than the left one. All that fresh air must have tired it out.

What is funny that instead of imagining you I totally imagined myself going through what you went through. Hey at least you know you got a really good work out. As much as you hurt it is a good kind of hurt. Hope you get a good nap you and your right boob LOL!!

I'm scared to go back but I don't want to give up!!! I went to Winco to get the weeks groceries (they were having a sale on boneless baby back ribs) and I had to hang onto the cart handle and lean over like an old lady. I'm not sore (yet...I'm sure tomorrow will be ****) but my legs are so tired from my half as*d squats that they are week. DH had to get the dutch oven out of the bottom of the cupboard for me so I could put his ribs in the oven.

Wow!!! You really worked it out girl! Just...be careful not to over do it...you don't want get into thinking of working out as a "chore". It's consistency that will get you where you need to be. Maybe lay off the "supersets" for know and you may need to work up to it. I don't think you should be hurting quite this much...anyway...way to work it out! I'm feelin' sheepish now...I'm still doin 20 min at level 4 on eliptical/recumbent bike and I just worked up to level 4 - 1 week ago! Maybe I need to take my own advice in reverse and step up my game!!!:carrot:! Joyce

I think it was lilyb & I that talked about not missing the extra humps in our bras? I'm back to having 6 :( (2 humps out the top & 2 mounds out the sides :o ) Couldn't get the "hang" of sports bras - still wearing trusty 18 hours harnesses. Can't wait to get down to 4 humps again @ 212 - & need to start saving for my eventual boob job! :carrot: Had a Great Work Out @ the Y - EFX machine kicked my butt - did the upper body circuits & then managed to swim a lap and then playplayplay with dd & her friend - dh even went along! We did stay in for a movie - "Stardust" - but it wouldn't play.:mad: We ended up watching The Green Mile for the millionth time - just love that one - along with Shawshank Redemption. Taking a sleeping pill so I don't stay up til 4-5am - ttyal!:) |
Good Morning! I am here to report that there is something that hurts more than walking out of the bodypump class. That would be the pain you achieve the next day at 4:00 a.m. when you are about halfway down to sitting on the toity. It is also no picnic doing the reverse. Why? Because it is a big squat I guess.
DH and I were going to have our own internal movie night last night by watching Bourne Ultimatum since DD had not one but two friends here to sleep over. We changed our minds because of the potential for constant interruptions. Also, I didn't want both of us preoccupied because one of the girls always slips away from the others and gets on to one of the computers and surfs. I don't care about the surfing part but we don't have any parental controls on the computers so I'm just nervous that someone elses kid may encounter an online sleaze while at my house. My upper body is not sore at all but my legs are and not in the places I expected. I expectd calf pain but I have pain in my quads and deep in my butt cheeks (I want to call those glutes but I don't feel right about it since the area is primarily fat on fat on fat). The good news about the leg weakness yesterday is that I read up on bodypump and that I can't control my legs thing is common. Bambi God love you telling me to modify. I was as modified as I could possibly get with no weight on the bar and shallow squats. 80 year olds were doing better than me! Food for the week: We have slow cooked baby back ribs that are boneless that were brushed with sf waldens bbq mixed with splenda during the last two hours of cooking.A huge batch of fresh chicken salad made with capers, mayo, chopped celery, slivered almonds and curry. Siroloin burgers precooked and packed in tupperware. 12 boiled eggs. Mixed green and spinach salad. A cooked and stripped spagetti squash. Chopped yellow and green squash steamed and placed into individual services with gorgonzola cheese for a little bit. I don't think I even have to cook anything today! SC Ah well. If y'all are interested just check out bodypump on youtube. You can see it does not look that hard when you are watching (except of course for those people that have significant weight on the bar). It is only in reading about the class after that found out how much it can kick your beeeehhhhinnnnddddd. |

I want to find a good website or something to design a lower body workout on my Vectra double stack system. It's got the squat, leg press, leg extension, and total upper body...but I don't know how to design a good lower body, upper body program. Any ideas of where I could find a site to help me design a program. So far...I've just been basically doing cardio, but I want to step it up (like you) and go into resistance training. Thanks for any help you can provide. Joyce |
