    Rockinrobin - I think I will get rid of my larger clothes too, but I'll wait until I lose more weight. I'm not down 5 sizes like you, but I will be.
  • Hi Webweevil...Actually after I lose this last pound, I plan on continuing to lose. My goal is about 135 but my dream goal is actually 125. And with my larger clothes, I did a few eBay sales & donated the rest as soon as I "outgrew" them....that helped keep me on track a few times, knowing if I gained weight back, I had no clothes to wear!

    Some of us post our calories as a way of staying accountable. Most of us have a daily calorie goal.

    I was high on calories, today but at least I was back to exercising.

    Monday: 2024 calories, 698 deficit, 45 minutes Tae Bo
  • Another low day at 1189. I made a soup with vegetables and beans and it's so filling that I can't eat it and get my calories much higher. But my average is still right on track, so a couple of low days won't hurt anything.

    I'll be hopping on the treadmill in a minute, too, just to get warm! It's freezing in here.
  • My husband has been feeling real lousy lately, over 2 months now and I've been worried sick about him. Yet another doctor's visit with no results, so therefore I didn't even manage 1100 calories today. I'm never sure if I should just let it go at that, I mean am I doing more damage then good when I don't reach 1200 calories?

    Funny, I had the exact same question. And the reason I was worried was because I was reminded how quickly the body goes into that starvation mode a few weeks ago when I got food poisening. I haven't been that sick in years, and didn't eat for 2 days. Of course I lost 4 pounds, but alas, I regained about 5 or 6 pounds within 2 days of eating again. And I was only eating about 1300 or so calories the first few days. As SOON as I ate, my body held onto every last bit of it. That week was a total wash weight wise.

    Sorry about your husband. Mine is disabled and the stress can be unbelievable.

    My best advice: I wouldn't worry about an occasional below 1200. Just keep your weekly average higher than that and try not to make a habit of it.

    These things just happen!

    Hi fellow Minnesotan Some of us post our daily intake - I try to, because it keeps me accountable & I need all the support I can get! I also read just about every other forum, because there's always something I can learn or be inspired by or relate to!
  • yesturday 1900 cal in, 60 min brisk walk; scale showed 177 lbs this morning.
  • Thanks for the well wishes regarding my husband, I greatly appreciate it. It has been stressful and scary and we're just getting no where and he's getting worse. I have been praying a lot. And actually I think the only thing that's keeping me sane is this newfoumd health kick of mine.

    Yesterday's calories, under 1000, not enough protein. I will try to rectify that today.
