Those darn scales!!!!
By the way, I took my first belly dancing class last night. It is going to be harder than I expected. The teacher has pointed out that she is a stickler for proper technique. Isolating your rib cage and hips and getting them to move the way you want them to is difficult. It is a very small class, so we all get hands on attention.
I HATE scales. Use a tape measure, hun. Forget the scale. You never know what it's reading. Have you gained muscle? Water? It doesn't know the difference! But your pants do! Yay, looser pants, yaaaay.
It's good that your teacher is thurough. I was taking video lessons and then discovered I was doing things wrong...so when I went to a live class, I had to relearn and retrain my muscles! Chest isolations are a problem for me because a.) I'm so fluffy that I can't see what my ribs are doing and b.) Well, it feels a little funny to move one's ribs in such weird ways
Cally- I hope your feeling better today.
Yesterday's Calories: 1,358. (Close enough!) with no dance practice. (I wasn't feeling hot, and then we went to MIL house.)
Today won't be any different. I can't work out this evening either. Back on track for Wednesday, though.
