I don't know Mych but that's a good place to start. Pretty smart I think.

I would think this might work if you don't have a lot to lose (maybe less than 30 pounds?), but dieting in general usually slows your metabolism even if you do it in a healthy way. If you start out eating, for example, 1500 calories when you weigh 300 pounds, your body will get used to living on 1500 calories before you reach your goal. So, even if that 1500 calories is recommended for someone who weighs 130, you may never reach that 130 because your body adjusts to 1500 calories long before you lose that much weight. This is why many people suggest you eat as much as you can to still lose so that you can continue to cut your calories as needed while you're losing.

Okay now that it makes sense. Where is somewhere that I can know where the calories equal?

Height: tall enough to know what's on top of your refrigerator

Default lies, lies, lies, yeah - they're gonna get you

oh, I put my stats in those calculators, and all I have to say about the results:

BALD! FACED! LIES!

So what I did was I used FitDay to track my calories for a month. I also weighed myself a lot. When I lost weight, I did a 7 day average and a 14 day average caloric intake. When I gained, I did the same.

This gives me a picture of what my body is doing with calories in and calories out. At the moment, I know that my body needs 800 calories less than what those calculators say in order to lose weight. That is a big, big difference.

Do the work yourself using FitDay and your scale and find what works for YOU. Otherwise you're setting yourself up for a whine tasting party.
