Default Question about popcorn

I don't know about anyone else.

Most of the time on fitday, I use the nutrition guide on the back and key it straight into FitDay.

With the mini bags of pop corn that I normall eat, it has 3 tbsp unpopped is 210 calories and 1 cup popped ( approx the bag ) is 35 calories!

What is with this? Which do I key into Fitday?

Most of those bags are more than 1 cup popped. That's quite small.

What brand and type of popcorn is it? How many servings does it say there are in a bag??

Even mini-bags are more than one cup...have you measured your popped popcorn? What brand/flavor do you have? As above, does it say on the box how many servings per bag?

The mini bags usually contain 6 cups. It doesn't look like it in the bag, but it measures out that way.

The Smart Pop variety has even fewer calories, at 15 cal per cup.

It sounds like the popcorn that I eat occasionally. Orville - red box? I count it as 210 calories for the entire bag.

When I'm entering something into fitday and I know from the package how many calories there are, I just fudge the servings until fitday comes up with the correct number.

It's the act 2 bags or whatever.

It says there there is 1 serving per bag and that it's 1 cup

The lowest Act II mini bag (the 94% fat free kettle corn flavor) is about 15 cals per cup, with 6 cups per bag.

The "1 cup" serving is one of the ways food companies try to trip you up with deceptive nutrition information. They are tricky like that! The smallest size of Act II microwave popcorn on the market is a 5.5 cup bag, so that is what you're eating. At 35 cals for cup, that makes your mini bag of popcorn approx 210 calories.

Mandolinn speaks true, 1 serving may be ONE CUP, but I don't think that's the size of the bags. Minibags are generally 5-6 cups. From what I can tell, she's right, the Act II MINI BAGS do have 210 calories (I looked it up on calorieking)

http://www.calorieking.com/foods/cal...AxJnBhcj0.html

According to that link above (from calorieking, which may get deleted) 55% of those calories come from fat, so it's not necessarily the best choice if you're trying to eat low fat.
