Default Ice water burns calories

I like the website HowStuffWorks for some fun information. By accident I found this little tidbit:

*1 16oz (2 glasses ) of ice water will burn 17.5 calories as the body tries to heat up the ice.

*over the course of a day, if you drink 64oz (8 glasses) of ice water, it will burn 70calories.

Of course, don't depend on that for an extra snack or anything, but I thought it was a great motivation to keep drinking our water. And why not switch to ice water and burn a few calories while we are at it?

Thanks for the tidbit, but unfortunately for me, I prefer room temperature water.

I wish I could do this, but ice water makes my teeth hurt and gives me a headache. I'm sure that'll help a lot of other people, though, so thanks for posting it!

Default Love it! However

I've recently heard that we should have a cup of hot water after a meal. Seems the hot water aids in digestion.

So, drink the ice water whenever, even with the meal and have a cup of hot water after!

Sounds like a plan to me.
