Technically, your goal weight should be maintained at the calories you are eating to lose the weight. For me, my goal weight is 150. 150 x 12 = 1800 calories. 1800 calories is what should maintain my goal weight. The number 12 is sort of a generic number that can be used by everyone, but it might not be totally accurate. For something to do, I was just reading the book "The Biggest Loser"... they said to use 6 as the multiplying factor. (But that a person should go below 1000 calories.) WHATEVER! I like my 1800 calories.

I was reading the book more for motivation, not the actual diet. Emphasis on DIET, not way of life. They also said that during the weight loss competion, people exercised 5-6 hours a day (or more). That is
not normal. (I wonder how long people will keep the weight off when they are at home and not exercising all day.) I think as a person gets closer to their goal weight, it will take longer to actually lose the last few pounds...
