Default New to Calorie Counting!

Hi Everyone!!! I am currently 194lbs... im 58yrs Old, 5'7"... and i would Looooove to get down to 150! Im counting 1200 Calories a day, but not losing so im on a All Liquid Diet right now... Protein Shakes, Broth, Water, Etc... ANYONE ELSE DO THIS?????

I feel like you should focus on actual foods instead of having shakes and sorts. Using something like MyFitnessPal would help in counting your calories. at 194 lbs, 1200 might be a little too low, you might end up feeling drained. I would up your cardio exercises a bit and definitely not lower your calories any further. Also I would do weight lifting, as it also will help give shape, increase metabolism due to higher muscle mass, and also burn calories during the process of weight lifting!

Agreed. Living on a liquid diet sounds absolutely miserable. You need something you can sustain happily and long-term. Try 1500 of real food, and do what you can to make it fun and enjoyable. Explore new ways of cooking veg, for instance! You don't have to suffer, you know.
