Default Best calorie calculator?

Hey guys, what do you find to be the most accurate calculator for figuring out your daily needs? I've used a few and there are huge differences (1000cal) between what some recommend. Any ideas?

I use my fitness pal now but when I first started I used freedieting.com. I still double check there.

I use fit day on my computer! What my favourite part I like the best is I can enter my recipes in and customize any food very easily

I use everydayhealth.com. The website offers a food/exercise journal and all sorts of great tools. There's a mobile app too.

Hi all,

I have also been using My Fitness Pal for calculating the food I eat, I don't think there is an easier app to use with an existing user-generate food library as large as MyFitnessPal.

HOWEVER!
With regard to calculating energy expenditure and your target energy intake, I've found there to be huge variances in the quality of the calculators, particularly since most calculators don't tell you what data sets they are using to calculate your energy expenditure nor do they allow you get the most ACCURATE measurements (which can only be obtained when you have accurate body composition measurements)

There is only 1 calculator I am aware of that provides you with all of this functionality but also provides you with the option to calculate using your Max Fat Metabolism (this comes from a study where the researchers found the daily limit a person's fat stores can provide in terms of energy).

The calculator can be found here: http://www.fatlossboss.com/calculator/

Lots of Love

Geraldine

I have an app on my phone called MyNetDiary and I love it 10000 times more than MFP. It is more user friendly and I love the charts it provides.

I've always enjoyed the Harris Benedict Equation, http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/, to help me figure out my BMR and activity, http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-ca...dict-equation/.

It's a big wake up call. My activity calculation I use is 1.35. Then I adjust my deficit accordingly to my goal.

I also love MyFitnessPal. There may be better ones out there but it has been working great for me so far so I am going to stick with it.
