Default favorite low cal meal?

Just had a very satisfying lunch, in fact I am surprised how full I feel. On the weekends (most days really) I like to have most of my calories for breakfast and dinner so it leaves a little room for lunch and snacks.

My lunch today- 2 tbs hummus 50 calories
2 slices tomatoes 12 calories
2 slices wasa crisps 40
1 serving just for one green giant cheese and cauliflower - 40

total calories- 142 and like I said I am totally satisfied!

I like to put the hummus on the crisps and a slice of tomato on top

Do you have a favorite low cal meal?

A 2 egg omlette/frittata with a grated zuchinni (grate, salt, and squeeze out some of the water first), fresh chives from the garden, and 1/3 cup of 1% cottage cheese. A few halved radishes on the side. Under 250 calories and very filling. Could probably be under 200 if you used just egg whites, but some fat is good for you.

I have a little recipe for Miso Vegetable Soup that is ridiculously filling. 2 cups of boiling water, 2 tablespoons of brown rice, 1 cup broccoli, 1 cup green peas, 2 tablespoons of miso paste. The entire thing is 300 calories, but honestly I can never eat more than half of it at a time.

Yep! I have obsessions with food - current one is purple and green cabbage dressed with 1-2tsp olive oil and fresh cracked s&p. This morning I topped it with a runny egg. Something about the cold slaw and warm egg is so amazing!

Off topic, but, how do you make a poached egg? I have never mastered it!

I have a cool poaching tray that I use when I make my version of eggs Benedict (I swap out the Canadian bacon for chopped tomatoes and steamed asparagus to make HEAVEN).

I look forward to my breakfast everyday, which is usually around 400 calories. I do three 400 calorie meals a day (1200).

I have a cup of coffee with creamer (30), a glass of low cal OJ (50), 2 pieces of 45 cal toast, one with jam and one with smart balance (150), and 1 sunnyside up egg (70), and 3 turkey breakfast sausage (100)
= 400 calories

I am a dork about it, too. When I eat the eggs & sausage I drink the OJ. When I am done with that I drink my coffee with the jam on toast LOL

This week it is an plain omlett on a toasted roll with tons of salsa on it. :-) I use low cal bread and 2 eggs. I don't really count the salsa in my calories. Sometimes I will even put some low cal cheese on it, but the salsa adds a lot of spice to it. I have been craving this all week. :-) Another one is a baked potato with salsa on it. I love salsa and it gives moisture and spice with adding lots of cals or fat. :-)

My new favorite snack is Chobani Greek Yogurt with pineapple. So so good.
