Default I need help about calories anyone plz help

Hi I have lost about 17 pounds in the past 2 months which is good but I notice I flatter back to 5 pounds on the scales. I try to stay on a 1200 calories a day . and I do zumba on Mondays and Wednesday which is 55 mins long excerise and walk on the treadmill for 50 mins once a week also
I started out my weight at 239 . Im down like 222 last i check on the scale and im 5.6 tall . My question is Am I on the right calorie intake?? Im so confused and Ive heard on a tv show I could be on a starve mode.. I have also giving up reg coke to coke zero so I dont know if thats the weight lost either .. I havent seen any weight lost in awhile just wondering if Im doing the right calorie . I need to lose about 50 pounds . My goal weight is 170 to 165

I din't think you are getting enough calories. I would try about 1800 if I were you.

if your body is not cooperating at this point, I would do like bargoo says and increase to 1600-1800. how long has it been since you haven't seen a loss?

I agree with the others, I think your calorie intake is way too low.

on apexfitness ( i use their bodybugg) when I started i was 220 and on 1650 cals. I'm now at 215 and still on 1650 cals.

I checked on MYFITNESSPAL (FREE) and th calorie different was only about 50 cals.

So if your not already using myfitness pal check it out.

alitorry its been like a week or so I get down to 217 and the I get on the scales after two days and Im at 224 again It jumps so much I dont know whats going on ??

The scale is gonna jump every day. It all depends on many things. is it your time of the month? Have you been eating more sodium than normal? Have you been using the bathroom regularly? (Being pregnant I'm constapated 24/7 and can go over 2 days without going, I know my scale lies to me during these times) do you weight yourself at the same time in the same sort of clothes?

As far as your calories go, use a web counter (caloriecount.com is really good as are many other already talked about above.) they will tell ou how much you should be eating to lose weight.

I use myfitnesspal to help me determine how many calories i should eat. You might check it out

stop that.

there is no valid reason to weigh yourself daily - it's just a form of mental torture.

weigh yourself weekly if you want a more accurate picture but weekly is the rock-bottom minimum. you're better to go biweekly or monthly or just throw the scale out the window and use a tape measure.
