Default Frustrated!!

Hello all,
I am counting calories for the third time. This way of life has always worked for me in losing weight and I enjoy the tracking. Currently I am deployed so it is a little bit more of a challenge to count, yet I make it work. So far I have lost 8lbs in a month and a half. I am 5'5, and started at 174. This past week has been a challenge because I got injured and can in no way work out (not even walk). I continued to count calories and averaged about 1400 cals a day. Well, when I weighed in I gained 1.5 . Before this week I was training for a dualathon so I was working out 1-2 hrs a day in the gym. I am worried that I didn't lose because I was unable to workout. I can't keep up the intense training for more than a couple of months, so did I only lose before because of the long workouts? If I can't lose on 1400 cals, how can I do this?? Any thoughts?
Thanks

Oriana

What's your injury? I believe to heal any injury, your body is holding on to more water than it would otherwise.

I think you have to take into consideration that you're injured. If you can't even walk then that is going to have a big effect on how your body uses the calories it's getting. Your fluids could be effected too, especially if they gave you an IV when you got hurt. I think you shouldn't freak out yet. Keep doing what you're doing and be patient. Concentrate on healing from your injury so you can workout again as soon as possible.

My husband is Army. Thank you for your service and stay safe. =)

Thanks. I have an abscess on my inner thigh so have to keep movement to a minimum. Hopefully my body is just responding to the change in schedule and lack of working out and I'll lose next week. Thanks for your posts
