Thank you, GettinFit!! I honestly couldn't have done it without this board and the people on it...I remember finding this site in late December when I was going through a pretty bad binge period and it was a real eye opener for me. There are so many good people who are all here for the same reason: to get healthy. It's so encouraging! :)

Well, my WI yesterday and today was 175.2 which is up 2.2 pounds from Friday morning. Obviously, that is not fat weight gain, so I'm curious as to all of the elements that surround that 2.2 pound gain. On Friday we worked outside for 11 hours (major overhaul of the backyard), and on Saturday we worked about 5 hours outside. I'm talking major shoveling, moving, wheelbarrowing, digging, etc...it wasn't just raking the yard or anything like that. And, I hardly drank any water. I drank a lot of pop to keep my energy up which is probably the last thing I should have been doing.

I can barely feel my body (both today and yesterday) from all the work we did, so I'm wondering if it is major water retention from my sore muscles trying to repair themselves as well as lack of water. It is thunderstorming today, so we won't be doing any outside work. I'm anxious to see what my WI will be tomorrow and throughout the rest of the week. I've lost over 4 pounds in 2 weeks which is pretty unusual for me (it's too fast for what I am used to), so if I don't lose weight for this Friday's WI I am ok with that, but I would hope that it would at least get close to 173 again!

On a different note: holy moly, tried some Wonka candy bars this weekend and the caramel ones are amazing! They are huge candy bars, and I ate the majority of one on Saturday because I was so exhausted and just didn't care!! :) Delish!

Exercise update: I really didn't think we'd do anything in the yard today because it was storming so badly, but it let up in the afternoon and we just got done moving 100 bags of topsoil out of his truck and into the backyard. Buh.

I def get water retention post hard exercise! Lets see what the scale says tomorrow. Try lots of water!

Day 32

WI: 175.0

Breakfast: Usual (361)
Snacks: Pretzel sticks (110), peanut butter (50), FiberOne bar (140)
Lunch: Lean Cuisine Herb Roasted Chicken (170) & broccoli (60) = (230)
Dinner: 1/2 cheeseburger, 1/2 order of fries, medium twist cone dipped in chocolate...couldn't resist!! :)

We are working in the yard again today and it's supposed to be 92 degrees outside. I'm really hoping that some more of this weight drops off by Friday. We are getting our six trees and 28 bushes delivered tomorrow, so we are both taking a 1/2 day and bringing over the nephew to help us dig and plant things. I will be so glad when this is over.

I decided to eat a Lean Cuisine for lunch instead of a Lean Pocket because it will save me 310 calories. I think we are going to our favorite ice cream place later today and I am going to get something (probably a small cone), but I wanted to make sure I didn't go too crazy with my calories today.

Exercise update: Well, we worked in 92 degree weather for 7 hours today. My shoulders and neck are burned even though I literally applied sunblock about 8 times and tried to shade myself as much as possible. Planting trees and bushes tomorrow after work...yowsa!! :dizzy:

Day 33

WI: 174.2

Breakfast:
Usual (361)
Snacks: Gum (10), Yogurt w/kashi (97), FiberOne bar (140), Wonka candy (100), peanut butter (100)
Lunch: Lean Cuisine Three-Cheese Stuffed Rigatoni & baked cheetos (380)
Dinner: 1/2 cheeseburger (?), Chicken sandwich with 1/2 slice pepperjack cheese on whole wheat bun (242)

Happy Tuesday! At least it's not Monday! :carrot:

Taking a 1/2 day today to try and dig six huge holes for six huge trees. We also got 28 bushes, but I'm more worried about getting the trees in before the bushes. I hope my arms develop some monster muscles with all of this digging!

My husband brought up kids last night and said he's ready whenever I tell him "ok" which made me have a slight panic attack again. What happened to the guy who said he wanted to wait until at least December?!!? I still have 9 pounds to get to my goal weight and August is the "new" time we agreed upon to TTC a few weeks ago, but part of me wonders (again) if it is worth it to wait just to lose another 9 pounds...but, I think it is important for me to get to my goal (or at least as close as I can) by July 31st...but if something happens before then I am not going to complain.;)

Exercise update: We worked outside and dug lots of holes and planted lots of bushes. We tried to plant one tree, but the hole wasn't big enough and now we can't get the tree out. Five more to go after that one. We were outside for 4 hours and I wasn't working the entire time (I let our nephew and his friend take over for me a few times), but I did get a lot of work done!

If both of you are "ready" for some lil' crumsnatchers...I wouldn't wait...just go for it!;) If you nurse, you'll lose the weight in RECORD time. You can and should continue eating healthy during pregnancy anyhoot. A friend of mine just gave birth to her first baby a lil over a month ago, and she's back to her skinny size 2 or 4 or something really tiny like that. She exercised through her pregnancy though. If I had it to do all over again, I would have not taken pregnancy as an opportunity as free for all eating extravaganza...haha! Eating healthy (as we learned) can be delishous, energy packed, fun, naughty, and overall COOL!:dancer:

Emme 05-31-2011 10:17 AM

Crumsnatchers...that is hilarious!! http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/s...aughing010.gif I have never heard that before!! Part of me is ready, but part of me freaks out when we talk about it...if it happens, it happens, I guess!

readyfreddy 06-01-2011 12:27 AM

How exciting! Good luck!

Ps I'm huuuuuungry today but trying to tough it out.

Emme 06-01-2011 10:09 AM

Ready ~ I have days like that, too. They are no fun!!!

Emme 06-01-2011 10:10 AM

Day 34

WI: 174.0

Breakfast: Usual (361)
Snacks: Yogurt w/kashi (97), Gum (10), FiberOne bar (140), Pretzel sticks and peanut butter (85)
Lunch: Lean Cuisine Sun-dried tomato pesto chicken (which looks really, really pathetic) & baked cheetos (390)
Dinner: Lean pockets (480), chocolate (50)

More digging tonight. We'll see how far I get. We have 5 trees left to plant and 6 bushes. I think I'll work on the bushes. :) Scratch that: no digging tonight. I'm exhausted. Rest night.

I'm going to a gastroenterologist today. I have an issue where I constantly feel hungry -- it feels like my stomach is going to growl all the time and it really bothers me because I always feel hungry. Sometimes I eat to the point of feeling sick because my stomach and mind don't match up and say "STOP!! I'm full!!" And when I'm stuffed to the point of almost being sick my stomach still is shooting out hunger pangs. It really bothers and upsets me, so maybe he can give me some advice or at least tell me that I'm not abnormal. I used to have acid reflux really bad where I was nauseous all the time, so maybe this is another symptom of that, but just in a different way.
