Default Help please: how many calories should I be eating?

Hello ladies

I am 5'9" and currently mi weight is 165 lbs

My goal weight is 150, so I am trying to loose 15 lbs

I exercise almost everyday and basically is 30 min cardio, 30 min weight lifting and 1 hour martial arts

I think I should be consuming around 1500 cals per day, but most days I eat around 1800 cals

I havent lost weight for the last 3 months

So I really would love to hear your opinions on the right amount of calories for me, thanks

Oh, and I am 34 years old with hypothiroidism taking meds for it.

Hii! I just put your details into Boots MD calculator. And it recommends that you are eating around 1612 calories per day. It recommends you are doing 30mins of exercise a day - letting your heart rate get to between 93 and 140 bpm. And healthy weight range for you would be 125-169 lbs.

Hope that helps!!

Don't worry about it being too high- you don't want to work out with minimal results cuz you aren't raising your heart rate. When I work out sometimes my heart rate can get into the 180s but it's cuz I'm pushing myself.

I think 1500-1600 is a good calorie count to go with.

I just wanted to reiterate this post. Don't go slower b/c of heartrate. Push yourself for more productive cardio. Mine gets even up to the 190s on the equipment. I wasted MONTHS on the elliptical not passing my target heartrate until a trainer told me to just push myself harder... then I started seeing real results. Just cool down before getting off.
