Horo: glad to hear the ankle is getting better! I never thought I'd be disappointed in not being able to work out (I'd take any excuse I could!)...but earlier this week when I hurt my knee, it was so frustrating!
Lori: you're awesome! Way to show 'em, girl! Rainbow & k15: congrats on your losses!! Woot! Hi Love! Thanks for checking in :) Manders: sounds like you did a good job on the St. Patty's day shirt! I would have ended up butchering the thing and turning it into rags, lol. Elizabeth: I had the volume down when I weighed in and couldn't hear when it said "that's overweight", so I actually re-weighed so I could hear it...LOL! It still does that "dum-da-da-da-da-dum" music, but it's a "kinder, gentler" version. My mii is still fat, but not AS fat. It's so nice not to see that little bar in the obese range anymore! Surf: congrats on losing your gain plus more! Always a great feeling when you feel like you're not only catching up, but getting ahead! Jiggle: good luck with your new plan! Let us know how it works for you. As for me: I stayed under 1600 cals yesterday, even though it was Friday, when I usually slack off a little. Today I have to do some major housecleaning....been putting it off far too long! But one more cup of coffee first....right? |
Lori THanks!!
Northern THanks! Hope you get your cleaning done - I'm so good at putting that kind of thing off as well. Congrats on staying under calories on a Friday! I did similar yesterday, planned to have higher but was right on target at 1390! ~End of the first week of lower calories, think I'm doing well so far! Have a possible new job opportunity too - I'm nervous about it, but I need to make the call and see about it. It's reception at my boyfriend's dad's work - he is part owner of a freight forwarding company so I think the reception job would be busy and challenging and I think working 8-5, Monday - Friday would actually be good for my time management and help me use my spare time better. I am nervous about making the call though to ask about it - while I have a lot of transferable skills, I don't have actual reception experience. |
NorthernExposure-HAHA! That's good to know. I am looking forward to when my mii is less fat. :)
rainbowstripe-Good luck at the reception job! I would give it a shot, working a set schedule at a job that does help with your home/work balance. Calories at 1658 for Friday but only at 1190 for today so far so unless I have some huge bad snack tonight I am going to be under for today. Which for a weekend is pretty good. Not that I've done anything today besides laundry and give my dog physical therapy. |
Lori- this may sound weird(nothing against your family), but that is a great way to look at it. Keep it up, it's working! your new photo is terrific! I just joined Facebook, how would I find you on there?
The weather was nice enough to go for a walk today, so I went for 40min. Calories are 1650, i was craving chocolate so I ate a chocolate mousse yogurt I had in the freezer. It tasted like ice cream, yum. Also had extra fruit, oh well. No wonder i just can't lose weight, I keep going over my limit. Lately I noticed even if i only have 1280 for a while I don't lose weight anyway. So what's the difference, my weight has been the same for the last 5 days no matter how many calories I have, as long as it's healthy food, it doesn't seem to matter. I really want to drop 2 more pounds, it seems impossible at this point. |
It seems the universe is trying very hard to prevent me from riding my bike! The wind was gusting up to 32 mph today.. :dizzy: I might give up on the idea entirely until Tuesday, where it's supposed to get up to the 50's and stay that way for the rest of the week. I did get on my exercise bike, though, but that's not nearly as fun as a real bike, the latter of which I'm sure I'd ride for much longer.
Calories and exercise: on plan, though still nothing to report on weight loss. I really hope I can get this last pound off in time. |

I'm starting to think i need to raise my calories, I lost a half pound after having 3 days of higher calories(from more healthy food). When I go back to the 1200 range, i seem to just stay the same weight. I'm so confused! Today will be 1280, not that hungry. Should I force myself to eat for more calories?
|
I could not be more proud of myself for what I did - and didn't do - yesterday. :cb: During the parade I snacked on more candy than I had anticipated because I had anticipated on eating none. :D But still not a ton so that was good. After the parade we went to lunch and I was "bad" in that I had a big, greasy mushroom Swiss burger and fries and then proceeded to pick at my nephew's plate. So not great but I had room for the calories (not for the fat though, oops). I don't indulge in burgers much so this was a treat for me and knowing that, I am okay with eating the burger.
Came home and my sweet tooth was growling so I had a Skinny Cow Truffle bar. Now at this point in time, the urge to binge was pretty high because I was hungry. I'm guessing my very not nutritious lunch had something to do with that. :nono: But I hopped on the internet than started watching TV to take my mind of it. A little bit later I had my planned snack of an orange. I was still hungry but managed to stave off until I had an early dinner where I had a mini-binge - I grabbed a light string cheese and added some light mozzarella cheese to my pizza. Not terrible foods but I shouldn't have eaten them. I was really concerned that my pizza was not going to fill me up but thankfully, I was finally satisfied. I managed to avoid a full fledged binge!!! :cb: A bit later I walked over to the bar and danced the evening away (exercise!!! :D) while having some beers. My beer was not of the light or green variety as I had originally planned but all they had was Bud Light and that stuff gives me ragging headaches. Again not great but sometimes you have to make do with what's available. Here's the best part of the day though. As I was walking home, I was planning in my mind what I was going to eat when I got home. Because I'm one who eats after they've been drinking and sometimes I'm sure the eating is more of a programmed, "This is what I do after drinking" thing than an "I'm hungry" thing. So I popped the last of my leftover sloppy joes in the micro and changed into my jammies. But while changing I realized that I wasn't eating because I was hungry and there was no reason to add those calories to the day. So I popped the lid back on them and threw them back in the fridge!!! :cb: Two really big moments that could have been really bad for me that I managed to avoid. :cheer2: Think I made some great decisions yesterday and love myself for it! Now granted, while I am proud of myself, going to have a bit of a "light" day to make up for my burger, fries and no exercise today. ;) - Breakfast: 6 blueberry pancakes made with 3 servings of Batter Blaster (240) and 1 cup of blueberries (84) topped with 1/8 cup sugar free syrup (10). 334 calories total. - Lunch: Last portion of leftover sloppy joes (178-1/2) with 1 serving baked Kettle BBQ chips (120), 1 container of light yogurt (90) and an orange (64). 452-1/2 calories total. - Dinner: BBQ pork chop (160) and roasted veggies made with broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts and mushrooms (342). 502 calories total. 1288-1/2 calories total for the day. I don't anticipate having any snacks because of my shortened day (I slept in :D) but if I'm feeling the need, I certainly have room for some. No actual exercise today but have lots of errands to run before working on my website this evening so will definitely be expending some calories today. |
URGH. My weight is back up to 63kg/138.8 pounds. So much for getting over the plateau, I'm right back to the same weight I've been stuck at for nearly a month now.

Manders~HUGS~ HUGS TO ALL! |
I'm close..! The scale is playing with me a bit, hopping up and down between the low end of the weight I am now and the high end of the next lb down. I can't wait to say I'm solidly in the next lb down so I can also say I've reached this goal. :luck2you:

WAY TO GO HORO!
Can y'all believe theres on 3 days left til we start a new challenge? OMG! I am so Ready to start the new one so Warm weather should be here to stay by then & lots of flowers bloomed For our Easter Challenge! G'nite everyone! |
Manders-Congrats on your mini non binge. I think if you stayed with your calories its not a binge at all. :)
rainbowstripe- Sorry about your plateau, do something totally different for a day or two then go back to your 'regular' diet and see if that helps. :) Horo-You are so close! I am sure you will make your goal and if not you did great regardless. :) I tracked both Saturday and Sunday! I usually don't track on weekends so that was awesome. I was under calories on Saturday and 1600s on Sunday. Although my carbs were higher on Sunday (upper 100s g) and I think the scale showed that today. It said i was 193.2! :P I figured I would gain when I added carbs back but when I didn't the first few days I thought I escaped it. It might have been all the simple carbs I had Sunday (pasta and a few oreos lol). BUT I had a milestone of sorts yesterday. I went to Walmart to pick up a prescription and the pharmacy was closed for lunch so I went to go look at the clearance clothes to see if there was anything in my size for in between clothes (i hate buying clothes when I am losing weight). I found 2 sweaters for only $2 each! I grabbed a few sizes and went to the dressing room. The XL were huge on me and the Larges fit perfect! I could have maybe even gone down to a medium for a more form fitting ift. Now perhaps these run big but it was still cool to buy a LARGE with no X in front of it and NOT from the plus section. :D :broc: Hope everyone is having a good Monday! I am exhausted because daylight savings time took an hour from me and getting up 'earlier' really sucked. |
