Hey everyone sorry been MIA also. Only a week left. Weighed today and lost the gain I had last week plus a .6 mini added extra So really happy about it, Well be happy to get close to the goal set and At least its going in the right direction.
jigglefree try it and see how it goes. maybe alternate 1200 day 1400 day. And if your hungry you still have the option of having an added Sm meal or a snack if you find you are hungry on 1200 calories . It won't mess you up. My weight finally moved, only a pound, and I'm trying not to get too excited about it incase it bounces back up. I also exercised today without building it up in my mind too much first - felt good. |
Well, not much of a "whoosh", but down about a lb this week, as usual! Honestly, I thought it would be a little more (like maybe 1.5) as I just "feel" thinner this week...but I will take it. The cool thing is, according to my wii fit, I'm overweight! BMI of 29.97! I still want to go for 185 by next week (at least 185.something) to say I've made my goal...but I'm pretty happy about that!
I think it's time to make some slight tweaks to my plan. I'm not ready for anything drastic, but I'm going to start with the following: -add an extra day of exercise. Currently I'm really good about getting 4 days in, but I'm going to make 5 my minimum now. -not allow myself to go over 1600 cals during the workweek. This doesn't change my calorie range (1400-1600), but I need to be more strict about staying in it. Have a happy Friday! |
NorthernExposure - Woot on breaking out of obese category! I can't wait for my wii fit thing to say 'that's overweight'. Still gonna suck but better than the lil voice saying 'that's obese' and making my lil mii fat. I want to punch it! lol Does it still make your mii fat? is it less fat? lol Feeling thin is always an awesome feeling. Perhaps you've lost some inches. Do you measure too?
RainbowStripe-Congrats on your pound! I consider staying the same or any loss as a victory! I counted calories yesterday, I was at 1618. Since I am aiming for 1500-1700 that's right on track. Weighed myself today and I am back in the 191s yay! So that means I officially gained no weight quitting Atkins. Heck its only been 4 days I might even lose weight by next week! |
Well I'm feeling pretty good today. I have officially started the 1200 calorie press. I want to see how it goes with me and if I'm hungry then I will have an extra 100 calorie snack...popcorn. So far I've had a smoothie and almonds which is 320 calories. It was 100 calories of frozen strawberries, 100 calories light yogurt, 50 calories of protein powder and 70 calories of almonds. That was about 8ish and I'm not hungry and it's almost 11. Usually I would have had my morning snack. Working on 32 ounces of water to finish before noon when I will have my lunch. I will do very light exercise like walking around the mall or the cleaning the house. My hubby's birthday is Monday and we will be celebrating today and tomorrow. I may eat more than 1200 calories on Saturday but I will try to stay below 1400. We are going to Fogo de Chao for dinner tomorrow and I'm hoping not to get caught up in trying all of the meats and eating lots of roughage...lol!
Northern - Well at least you lost something. Feeling thin is a great feeling so enjoy it. It is probably holding a whoosh for you as a surprise. Thanks for the thoughts. Don't worry about the hijacking. I appreciate it...for real. I eat about 1600-1800 now. I will be keeping track of my feelings of hunger because I don't want the hunger to control me and make me overeat. Rainbow - Enjoy the loss and congrats on doing the workout as well. Lori - I was going to say let's do an Easter Challenge. I will still be working on getting in that Jacket. I can't wait til it fits so I can post a picture!! Surfnmom - Thanks. My walk yesterday afternoon was perfect! Well, almost perfect. I only got in 4 laps because I had to go to the bathroom sooooooo bad! :D Oh well, still almost the same amount I burn with cardio at the gym so I was happy with it.
Had a bit of an interesting challenge yesterday evening. About 2 years ago I bought a green White Sox player tee in 2XL to wear for St. Patrick's Day. That was after the holiday so last year was the first time I was able to wear it (which I did although it was a bit big). I had decided I was going to do some tailoring on it so I can wear it tomorrow and Thursday. So totally didn't realize it was a 2XL and when I tried it on thought there was no way I'd be able to get it to work, the thing was a dress on me! :lol: I am by no means a wiz at sewing but I can get by so I'm trying to figure out how I can take a t-shirt from a 2XL to a M. I ended up taking 11" from the sides :eek: and took off the sleeves which I ended up not putting back on when the excess material at the top formed perfect little cap sleeves by themselves! :cb: The logo on the chest does look a bit weird though as it sits well to the side of my boob. ;) Trying not to get too bummed out today. Should be in Phoenix at a Spring Training game today but decided to fore go since it wasn't money I should spend and the Sox will be in Denver for a series in June. Oh June, please hurry! :D - Breakfast: 1 serving of Rice Krispies (130) with 1/2 cup blueberries (42) and 1/2 cup Blue Diamond Unsweetened Chocolate Almond Milk (22-1/2). 194-1/2 calories. - Lunch: A bit of a treat...Naked chicken queso burrito and small chips from Qdoba i.e. insta-nachos! :D More food for less calories than getting the actual nachos. 920 calories total. - Afternoon Snack: Medium orange (64). 64 calories total. - Post-Workout Snack: 1 tsp Jif Natural (63) on 4 chocolate mini rice cakes (30). 93 calories total. - Dinner: 4 slices of French toast made with 40 calorie wheat bread (160), 1/2 cup egg substitute (60) and 1/4 cup Blue Diamond Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk (10) topped with 1 tbsp margarine (50) and 1/4 cup sugar free syrup (20). 300 calories total. - Evening Snack: 100 calorie allotment. 100 calories total. 1671-1/2 calories total for the day. However, my "nachos" usually fill me up pretty good so the snack and even the amount for dinner might get nixed. Weightlifting and cardio this afternoon after the game is over. The scale moved! 2 more pounds! I wanted to get to 199 by the end of this challenge, I'm not sure what I will do to get that extra "umph" for the week but I'm dying to be in the one hundreds.

jiggle- I used to lose weight when I stayed in the 1200 range. But now it seems that I just maintain on that. I'm not lowering them anymore, maybe I need to raise them. I'm lost.
Lori- Easter sounds great. We have to stop thinking of Peanut Butter or we will be in trouble! How do you control yourself so well? I had more today, but less than a serving this time. Yay! Rode the bike for 20min. My whole body is sore from painting our sunroom ceiling for 4 hrs. last night. I'm almost done, going to finish it tonight. Had 1393 calories, went 113 over because I got hooked on grapes. Doesn't seem to matter anymore, my weight just stays the same or stays somewhere in the 110's. Maybe this is where I'm supposed be. |

Scale still going down a bit! 137.3 today! Today I'm having a little bit of a day off...still counting, still going to be within calories, just eating a couple of things I've been craving - a cupcake, a soft taco. Should be allllllll good.

My ankle feels tremendously better today.. still a bit of residual pain and swelling, but it's nothing compared to how it was yesterday. I didn't go for my usual dog walk today, just to be on the safe side, but I think I'll be fine to get my bike out tomorrow. I still have no idea how I managed to hurt it in the first place :?: but I'm not going to worry too much about it since it was clearly nothing major.
As for my goal, I dropped the water weight and hopefully will get this last pound off soon. Hope everyone else is doing well! |
It's parade day!!! :cb: Yes, I am a total dork for a parade. :o It's supposed to be a nice day here, as we do usually get very lucky on parade day, and I'm looking forward to getting a bit of a tan while watching the 3 hour parade. The only part I don't particularly care for is when they bring the longhorns down the route. Scares the begeezus out of me to have these HUGE animals within feet of me! :eek:
Have pretty loose plan for today. Had a good breakfast, going out for lunch, will possibly eat dinner at home so will make it good and then my after dinner snack will consist of much beer drinking. Definitely of the light sort, possibly of the green sort. ;) I know I will be over my calorie allotment for today but I am okay with it. Today is much more about having fun! Besides, I don't weigh in again till Monday. I have all day tomorrow and half of Monday to be good. :D - Breakfast: 1 serving of Rice Krispies (130) with 1/2 a banana (52-1/2), 1/2 a cup of blueberries (42) and 3/4 cup Blue Diamond Unsweetened Almond Milk (34). 258-1/2 calories total. - Morning Snack: 2 Nature Valley Pecan Crunch bars (190). 190 calories total. Maybe. Since the parade is long and I woke up early, I don't know if I'll make it to lunch without something. - Lunch: Corned beef and cabbage maybe? Calories TBD. - Afternoon Snack: Medium orange (64). 64 calories total. - Dinner: Roasted veggies made with broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts and mushrooms (342). 342 calories total. - Evening Snack: Mmmmmm....beer. Calories total for the day TBD We walk over to the parade route and I'll be on my feet socializing this evening so I'll be active but no real exercise planned for today.
