I want to join in! My goal is to track my calories and exercise everyday in my Lose it! App... To work out at least 4 days a week and keep my calories around 1500 a day. Feb 14 is now about 6 weeks away I believe... so my goal is 8 lb lost by then! Let's do this!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Everyone!
New to the 3FC forum and the CC, so I wanted to jump right into the Valentine's Day challenge and see if I can stick to it. I've got two main goals: 1) To exercise at least 40 minutes a day--be it heavy, intense workouts or just walking 2) lose another 10lbs between now and V-Day! |
I hope the first week is the hardest. I had a high calorie day on wednesday, then went all out last night, last minute. I don't think I did that much damage though. I was eating pretty well before I started counting, but when I got it in my head that I wanted something, I'd stuff myself with it.
I swam a lot this last week too. I only had 30 instead of 60 minutes on Saturday, which worked out well because my the end of 30 I couldn't pull my arms out of the water any more. I'm loaded up with healthy snacks and a swim schedule, so good luck to me and all of you! |

I hope I can still join this challenge. I didn't respond much to the last challenge. Kinda alot going one since then...for those of you who remember my father moved to alaska for his midlife crisis, and he came back home for 2 weeks, so we spend alot of family time. It was "interesting". I haven't been home since the New Year so I haven't had my official starting weight. I'm assuming I'm around 135-138...which this time last year when I first joined you girls...I was 123-124 :( And my lowest was 115.6, and average 118. Alot of work ahead of me to get it all back, but I'm up for the challenge. I got myself the Iphone4 for Christmas and I have MFP app on it and you girls right on my home screen to check in. So here are my goals: 1) Get down to 128 by the end of the challenge. 2) Work out 5 days a week 3) Keep calories between 1200-1500 Those are good for now. I'm excited and really want to get back into this. It was about 1 year ago since I met you ladies and you helped me through alot. Here's to a great new year! |

I've been MIA for a while as I've been on Holiday break....looks like I've missed a lot of chatter! I have NOT done very well this past week (but I sure did have a lot of fun), but now I'm back at work and I'm ready to get back in the saddle with my weight loss! I will better formulate my goals on Friday, which will be my first WI since before Christmas. I am pretty scared to see what damage I've done...hope to be somewhere near my pre-Christmas weight. For now, my short-term goals until Friday are: -count my calories every day and stay within a 1400-1600 range -get back into my exercise routine--at least 30 minutes every day. I already have a monkey wrench this weekend as I have a girls' birthday weekend out of town...but I MUST do better than I did over Christmas!! Hope to catch up with everyone soon! |

About to head out for exercise so thought I'd check in. My Jan 1st weight was 130lbs, and I want that a pound or two lower by Val day. I need to be careful with counting and keep up with exercise to get there. I think I'll also be more careful about sodium intake. I average 2000mg or so a day. Fruitlady, I am amazed that you can keep this around 700mg. I'll need to examine which of my foods are adding up to more. Hope everyone has a good week. Stay strong ! |
Ok, I'm late to join this challenge, but would love to participate. I'm not going to post my goals because when I do that, they never seem to happen. So, my plan is to stay on plan and fit exercise in when I can.... those actually sound like goals lol... oh well. I have been on a downward spiral since Thanksgiving and I didn't stay on plan once. So, now I'm ready to get back at it!! I really would like to be able to wear shorts this summer and actually enjoy myself. When I think back to last summer, there are so many things I have missed out on.. not this year!! Let's do this!! :)

Afternoon Ladies,
Today is a slow day at work so I have a few. This morning I was desperate for food, I stayed at the bf's and didn't prepare for the week, which I will tonight, so I went to Subway to get one of their breakfast sandwiches, I had it all counted out....umm apparently they stopped that 2 weeks ago! I didn't get the memo. So I went to Panera Bread and got their Power Breakfast Sandwich, it was the lowest calorie breakfast sandwich they had at 330 calories. I got a regular coffee, and added splenda. Didn't need a snack, so for Lunch I got a Footlong Veggie Delite from Subway, no cheese, and oil and vinegar. MMMMMM. Been chugging down the water today, trying to "Depoof" before my official weighin tomorrow. If i can get out an hour early from work I will hit the gym which is right down the street from my work. I'm excited to get back in the swing of things. It's hard cuz i get off of work at 6pm and by that time it's so dark outside and I have an hour drive home, no energy to workout, but i'm trying to get past that. Northern: Good to hear from you again! I love your goals for the week. Starting small and evaluating after your weighin is awesome! Woodland: I agree with looking at the sodium in foods. I'm trying to stay around 1500mg for a couple of weeks to get the bloat down from the holidays, but i do have alot of sodium in my diet. there are great ways to cut it out once you examine what you are eating. This morning's weigh-in (126.4) was a disappointment. I'm still a 3 solid lbs up from my lowest weight pre-holidays. Going to continue hydrating, eating on plan, and sticking to my exercise regimen. I've added Bikram yoga to my routine, primarily for the warmmmmm :) It's cold here! Hahaha Going to go get my 3 mile run in, and stopping @ grocery store on way back for fruits, veggies, and other on-plan supplies. Then, off to work tonight. Have a good, on-plan day! -FPSJ |

1235 calories yesterday, and 40 minutes on the treadmill. Was feeling very depressed yesterday - we took the tree and all the decorations down :-( My son and I were moping around, but dh loved it!
So far so good today - at just over 800 caloires(my goal is to eat very little once I get home from work). But now I'm feeling achy and am hoping it is a combination of soreness from Satuday's muscle workout and cramps(fun) and not that I'm coming down with something again. My son was sick over the weekend... |
woodland- if your eating any processed food, then you are most likely getting your sodium that way. I eat mostly fruit, veggies, yogurt, unsalted nuts, 1 serving of fiber one cereal in the morning & lean protein. The yogurt, cereal & lean protein have the most sodium, I will only buy snacks with really low sodium also. Hope this helps
Had 1228 cal. today, I have to lower my calories permanently. I think the reason I am having so much trouble getting back down to 108lbs is that my calories are about 100 more a day than they should be. I keep very close records of my weights and calorie intake. I was looking over it tonight & found that if my calories were in between 1170 & 1270, I was able to maintain at 108. It will be hard to get used to, but not letting my weight creep up is far more important to me. Told my family today that I will not be buying junky food for them anymore. If they need something sweet, I'll bake something healthy. I cleaned out the fridge & pantry, got rid of all their sweets & processed stuff. They are probably mad at me, but I feel it will benefit us all. I want to keep them healthy, I feel this need to protect them. Whole food only in this house! |
I did it! Day one I took in 1600 calories and burned 274 at the gym
I'm happy and I logged everything. Getting kinda sleepy so I will Say good night and post tomorrow..... Awesome Job everyone! |

JD: nice to see you again too! FPSJ: I'm right there with you on working off the holiday bulge. I will find out Friday what the damage is (hopefully get rid of some of it this week and never know it was there, lol.) Everyone else (new and old): let's start 2011 with a bang!! As for me: I had about 1530 calories yesterday, did a 2 mile WATP video and 15 minutes yoga. Tonight I'm thinking elliptical and weights. Feels good to get back in the groove! |

Quick check in before work starts. So I had my official weighin this morning... 134.2. It's bad, but to be honest when I was on the scale I kinda had a sigh of relief, just because I know this past weekend I thought I was 138, and as of last January when I weighed in I was 123.4 so a lil over 10 lbs difference. Still gives me hope, so I know I lost water weight yesterday, and I plan to go to the gym today. it will be interesting to see Friday my progress of getting the bloat off. This wednesday is my Dart league Night. Which is lots of drinking and eating bar food. So I'm going to have to suck it up and keep to the plan. Ok have to start work, I will post more in a few... |
