This morning, when I went to use my food scale (a basic Taylor digital scale) the display was blinking and wouldn't work. I tried taking out the battery and putting it back in, but that didn't help.
I've only had the scale since March or so. I looked up info in the instruction book, but it's not the low battery signal, or any other troubleshooting problem mentioned.
Should I get a new battery first, or do you think I screwed up the scale and will need a new one? I moved to a new place over the weekend and just put the scale on top of some other kitchen items in a box, I didn't take any special precautions. It bums me out to think I broke my scale.

And it FREAKS me out to think that I don't have one right now - I'm pretty dependent on that thing at this point!
