  • Does anyone keep a snack on there purse in case of hunger??? If so what do you keep?? I need an option cause i get hungry on my way home
  • Nuts!! Try almonds or something like that. If you take an insulated lunch pack with you, try part-skim cheese sticks. And I am trying to drink water when I get hungry, as a means to try and reduce calories... if that makes sense. No worries, i'm sill eating PLENTY... sigh
  • I always carry the individual crystal light packs to add to bottled water (5 cals a serving) and I just found some Nabisco Newtons:Apple Cinnamon Fruit Crisps (Only 100 calories!). They also come in Mixed Berry but I LOVE the apple. It's a great low cal snack with a bottle of regular water or Propel. Hopes this helps!

    Here is a picture!
  • I either carry fiber one bar or a south beach protein bar.
  • I second the fiber one bars! I carry a couple, because my toddler likes them too!
  • I carry the small packs of peanut butter and honey crackers (200 calories).
If I don't get to eat lunch, I eat them and count them in my calorie allotment for the day. Also, I'm never without bottled water or sugar free tea in my car because in Florida it's 95 degrees right now.
If I did not do this, I may grab something in a convenience store or fast food place that I may regret. It really helps me.
  • i either carry a nut bar or if i know a priori that i'll be gone for a while and that i'll be bound to get hungry, a banana
  • Hard boiled eggs ... in my purse. Yup, I do.
  • An apple and a stick of colby chedder is my standard snack.
  • If I know I'm gonna be gone, I take an apple and peanut butter, if I don't know, I'll stop at a convenience store and grab a very small bag of potato chips (we have some around here for 120 calories for the whole bag, I think they're the Wise brand). I'd rather not do that, but it is a little snack that doesn't break the calorie bank
  • Carrots. 350 grams of carrots--which is a sandwich bag BULGING full--have about 150 calories.
  • There are always almonds and apricots in my purse.
  • I keep a Clif or Luna bar in my purse. I also have these pressed fruit & veg fiberful strips from Trader Joe's in my purse.
  • I always carry a snack in my bag. It gives me better options in emergency situations.

Pretzels and individual peanut butter packets (I buy those online.)
    Soyjoy bars
Homemade trail mix (because the premixed variety has way too much dried fruit) - soynuts, almonds, walnuts, pumpkin and sunflower seeds (all raw and unsalted) and just a bit of either dried plums or apricots.
Slim Jim Beef and Cheese Sticks (I also buy these online.) Not exactly healthy, but it's an easy-to-transport snack
  • Raw string beans.
    An apple.
A bag of 70 calorie popcorn (not microwave, ready to eat).
