Amelia--Thanks girl!!! It's been a long & hilly (if that's a word) journey, but I'm slowly, but surely, gettin down closer to my goal! **HERE'S TO HOPING YOU GET TO GO CAMPING!!!** Jiggle--I'm not addicted anymore!! haha I was on L1...I'm not sure why the thighs just now started to hurt...today I could barely do the lunges (I do them like Anita, not Natalie bc I have a bad knee)...tomorrow is D10 so I'm hoping I'm not too sore in the AM...You should be Super close to ONEderland w/the way you're going through sizes!!! I also agree bout feeling the muscle come through but needing to lose some of the "mass"...thats why I plan to add some cardio for this challenge :D shylah--sounds like a good plan!! C25K works if you stick with it...just believe in yourself...I know from experience w/C25K thatself assurance really helps get you through the running... Miss Mae--I agree...slow & steady is best!! One small change at a time!!! Hope you had fun on the elliptical! Susie--yes, the scale is stuck for me too! but tomorrow is my last day of 30DS, so hopefully it'll get moving again...GOOD LUCK w/gettin it to move again...I'm sure you'll figure it out & have no problem getting to 185 by cruise time!! WELCOME DEE!!! Ashley--I used to think the same way about mini vacations, but figured since I'll be eating horribly, the least I can do is exercise! LoL I'm sorry, but I have no advice about your tenderness...have you been doin any leg exercises?? or what do you do at work? alot of bending/squating??? J/W AJ--what do you do in Nashville? Or why did you move to the south??? I moved bc of my job...but we love it here..just wish it was closer to our family/friends....AWESOME job getting out of bed to exercise!!! Jiggle and KDM...sounds like that 30DS can really tranform your body! I do a Jillian Michaels biggest loser toning DVD 2-3 times a week. I alternate it with cardio days. I don't think mine is as intense as 30DS (and I don't do it every day), but I can definitely see a difference. I can actually do pushups! Ok, not a LOT of pushups, but I could only do like 2 when I started L2! So far, been OP this week calorie-wise. I'm still eating a little more junk than I should, but I am accounting for it at least! I am almost done with work for the summer, but have SO much to get done...I gotta lay off the chocolate!! |
Hi Everyone wanted to pop in and say hi. Hope everyone had a great postive day. Mine was ok ... The positive part was I walked 2 miles and stayed within my calorie range and then of course the negative was I ate Chick fil a. I try not to eat out too much... I came home and looked up all the calories and I just about had a fit when I seen my chick fil a sauce had way over 100 calories. Hopefully it doesn't slow down my goals too much for the challenge. Everyones daily posts has really been helpful to me. I'm really enjoying this forum. I'm so glad I found it and I know these challenges are going to be a great way to keep me motivated. KDM~THE spider was about the size of a quarter one of those ones that wanna jump at ya but I got it out safely...Silly things~we live next to Ohio Brush Creek & we get alot of spiders in our house & alot of snakes in our yard and Have had 1 snake in the house when we first moved in ~Maybe my hubby fix his route of entry I HOPE LOL! Then we even had a snake Climbing up out outside of our chimney last year~Guess that is country living for ya.:D Has its unpleasant moments!! susie ~I have missed ya ~So much enjoy your posts! Baben- Thanks! I know I have to start getting used to the "normal" way of eating- sometimes I become a bit obsessed with eating healthily but I don't want to beat myself up over it. The problem is though, even a small at that ice cream shop was probably 2.5 times the normal 1/2 cup serving. Maybe next time I'll as for a kiddie cup! KDM- Thanks! Back OP for today- no surprise ice cream attacks! Heehee. I hear you about lunges- there's a section in the video I use that is reverse lunges followed by stationary lunges followed by front lunges that absolutely kills me. At least it's quick to get through! Took me a while to get a hang of them. And congrats for being so OP! Northern- Sounds like you must be under some stress. What is your occupation? A little chocolate here and there isn't so bad. :D No worries, I'm sure you'll be able to do fine! Melz- Good on staying positive! Sounds like you did great yesterday. Don't think too much about the Chik fil a. Just have to keep on keepin' on! Lori- We are certainly a chatty bunch, haha. And I'm sure you'll be getting results in no time! I hate that pesky scale. Well, I WAS going to work out first thing this morning, but for the second day in a row I'm pushing it back to afternoon-evening. It's overcast and rainy here so I'm lacking the motivation of the sun. At least I know I WILL do it. I'm not sure what effect this has on my overall plan- switching up the schedule. I've been consistent about working out first thing every morning for Slim in 6 so I'm hoping the time change won't mean anything. I DO plan on working out first thing tomorrow morning as I won't have time to later. I only have one week left of this- I'm excited to see the full results! Okay, I think I'm off to have some breakfast and then start cleaning the house. I may also have to make a trip to the grocery store to pick up some veggies as I haven't been eating as many as I should. I can't wait until my garden starts producing- that'll be all I'll eat! |
Good Morning Ladies.
Last night was rough night. I am at war with my stomach and I will not be defeated. I have had to eat a lot of crackers because I'm not yielding to the stomach virus my daughter had. It's giving me a run for my money but I will win!! I've been doing my workouts and plan to go to the gym today. I just can't let this get me off too far. I was proud of myself for doing two miles on the treadmill so I will try to do two more today. Loveit - :welcome2: Join the party. We are having a great time but we are making lots of progress. Lori - Have a great day. It's alright to have a treat every once in a while. Even if it shows up on the scale it'll come off. Melz - At least you ate at one of the better fast food options. I have checked everyone's menu and Chick fil A has the best options. Northern - Step away from the chocolates!!! KDM - I'm going strictly cardio this challenge. I won't do 30DS unless I'm in a crunch. I think the toning has been good to me but I still feel heavier than I should. I still refuse to get on the scale because it may disappoint me. I may have been bigger than I thought I was or have farther to go than I want to know about at this moment. But maybe at the end of the challenge I will suck it up and get on a scale. Gotta get to work we are very short handed so I will be wearing three hats today. |

Its a rainy cold day here in Maine. But I have already done my elliptical this morning and am thinking I will do it again for 15 more mins later!! Eating yesterday was OP!! It helps when there is no junk foods in the house!! How often does everyone weigh themselves?? I am not sure how often I should be weighing?? I dont want to do it to often and get bummed but I am really anxious to see if what I am doing is working. Have an awesome day everyone!!! :D |

MissMae, I try and weigh only once a week on Friday morning. However, we have this wacky scale in the bathroom that I sneak onto a few times a week to see if it's moved. It weighs about 4 pounds heavy and will stay stuck for a long time then drop a huge amount. So I don't go by it really. Only if it moves LOL! But my official answer is once a week. In maintanance, I plan to weigh Mon and Fri.
p.s. I wish it were cool and rainy here! We're having a drought and we're to be in the 100's today! |
Jiggle, I hope your tummy cooperates with you today and doesn't get any worse! I'm going mainly cardio for this challenge too. I know 30DS has helped to define my body alot, but I am so tired of the scale not moving. I think I'll re-do 30DS when I reach my goal. I'm still adding in some upper body work with weights, but not as indepth as 30DS. I don't want to lose what I've built up, but I think I need to hold back on building up more! I'm a pretty muscular person to start with.

~yes the scale can have its days I wanna burn it LOL OH since I have breathing probs I do alot of exercise indoors if It rains just do what I call the walk while ya talk(While on the ohone) or just walk from room to room~Yeah u might look or feel like a crazy person But It works LOL! HUGS* Jiggle~It was delicous but really not a treat cause i had to stay within my calories still~LOL(Now an extra burger that day would have been awesome & A SUPER TREAT CAUSE MY HUBBBY MAKES THE BEST HAMBURGERS EVER ON THE GRILL! LOL) OH GOD This food talk is making me hungry must go nose on facebook to get my mind on someones probs for the day LOL! I could eat a whole plate of anything right now & thse moments are my facebook moments now LOL!~HUGS GIRL ~LUV YA! LOOKING FAB~I talk about u & the rest of the crew to my hubby & kids til there sick of it~U all are my family away from home! Morning all!!!
Well I have lost my first pound of the challenge! only 14 more to go! whoo!! haha. My sore spots behind my legs are getting a little bit better, it's mainly my left leg, my right leg I think i made tender by pushing so hard....i really am a hypochondriac, so when I have an ache, I LITERALLY FREAK OUT! haha it's terrible. They may have just been a little sore and by me poking and prodding, I probably made it worse. I'm not even going to tell you what diseases and life threatening illnesses went through my mind. haha....I need to step up my exercising, I have really been slacking on that the last few days. When I feel like there's something wrong with me I have no motivation to do anything, so I couldn't bring myself to exercise. I will today though, once I get home from work. I have been staying OP and drinking all my water, so that's all good. I'm on track to do another 60+ hour work week, not excited about that but at least I will have a lot of spending cash for Chicago, and a potential trip to New York City in August. whoo!!! Lovin' this summer!! Welcome to all the newbies, we're getting more and more everyday! I love it! :) jiggle and susie: I brought up the idea of just sticking with cardio and stopping the 30DS like you guys might be doing and she brought it up to her personal trainer and her trainer said that when you do cardio you burn calories for the time that you work out only, with weight training you burn during and you continue to burn afterwards as well. I guess you burn more calories doing weight training than just straight cardio. Not saying this should sway your decision, just something I found out, which I never knew, and thought I would share! :) Hope you feel better jiggle!! aluxa: I want to go swimming so bad!!! I have a pool at my house and it's ALMOST clean! haha I'm hoping to use that as my cardio instead of the elliptical machine soon shan: good for you for working out still!! that's motivation right there!!! corinne: I hear ya, sometimes you just have to wake up and sit in silence with a good cuppa joe.
