Jiggle: I just clicked on your profile pic and it has the pic of you in your black/white dress right beside the one of you in the TSP's and there's a world of difference just between those two pics! I am so proud of you!!

Susie - Thanks. I swear I can't stop looking at the picture. It's so wild to see that progress. My cousin was looking at the pictures we took from Easter comparing them to the ones from yesterday and said look at you. I was trying not to act as happy as I was but it was ooooozzzzzzing out.
Shan - My husband was fine as long as I was happy. Last night after everyone had left he said I like how curvy you are getting. That was nice. I think it's great they benefit as we get ourselves healthy.
Lori - Congrats on getting to 155!! I was hoping the news at the dr would be better but to know he's trying to find out what is all going on is a positive.
Farn - Yea those first couple of days are a real beast. But by the weekend you'll be a pro. I did my cardio at lunch and will be shredding this evening. I'm looking forward to getting my workouts done and staying on plan because I can see the results...now.

You all are the bestest!!! I remember last week being frustrated because they didn't fit like I wanted them to but to see them Saturday...I would only try them on Saturday mornings, I couldn't wait for Sunday. I was running around the house. I wanted to see how good the fit was so I sat down and did a couple of lunges. When they didn't rip or cut my flesh or pinch any fat...I started screaming. Of course I was up alone and running around.

I had 1250 cal. today, I lost a half a pound. I knew it wouldn't be much, I am really having a hard time controlling myself for the past three days. All I want to do is eat chocolate and peanut butter. If I try to eat a little I won't be able to stop, I just know it.

WOW!! I've been MIA since Wednesday and I FEEL LOST!!! You girls have been very chatty!! For those of you wondering, TOM FINALLY CAME FRIDAY!!! YAY!!! So I got to use my DivaCup for the first time!!! IT'S AMAZING!! My weekend at home was AWESOME...I was stressed for nothing. Like Aluxa I was stressed about going home after losing and what they would think...I think that's why TOM was late. But everyone was very supportive and complimentary...it gives me more motivation to keep going for these last 20lbs or so!!!

On a bad note...my WI today was not so good. I knew it wouldn't be because I didn't track my calories this weekend while traveling. But I also didn't go all out & eat everything in sight! Still, I was up to 176 today! :( UGH!!! But I know it's mostly water weight so hopefully it'll be gone w/in a few days.

**NSV FOR ME*** I actually did my planned WO's while away from home!! I almost talked myself out of it, but then did it! I did 30DS L2 D6 (Fri) & D7(Sat.)...I was very proud of myself! My mom actually tried to do it w/me on Sat. but couldn't do much. She had WLS in 2003 or 04 and has lost about 120lbs, but without exercise, so she's not in very good shape. She said she's going to start exercising, tho. Plus, I was on L2 and she probably needed to try L1! haha ANYHOO...it was a big achievement for me to actually WO while traveling!!!!

Susie & Farn---It's awesome you guys got 30DS! for whoever asked, I thought L1 was exremely hard at first & yes I was sore the next day, but did it 4days in a row before I took a rest day, then did the last 6days in a row...my endurance did increase after a while :) Now in L2, I do a couple days in a row and then have a rest day...I'm in no rush to get it done...It's really the only exercise I'm doing right now, but plan to add more cardio after I complete the program this 1st time...

Lori--sorry to hear about your problems!! But atleast you're staying strong and eating OP! AND look at you hitting your challenge goal early!! YOU GO GIRL!!!!

Jiggle--You look AWESOME in those TSPs!!!

Aluxa--Sorry your TOM was late also...but try not to stress too much about going home! you have made great progress!!

Sorry I didn't get to everyone...there were so many posts! HOPE YOU ALL HAD A GREAT WEEKEND!!! And here's to an Awesome OP week!!!!

NorthernExposure 05-17-2010 07:40 PM

Happy Monday evening, girls!

WTG Jiggle! That's so awesome! It's so exciting to see progress, isn't it? I think I've just recently hit that point where people are really starting to notice. Definitely motivates me to keep going :)

Kind of had an "off" weekend due to traveling for another funeral. I'm up .2 lbs since Wed. No worries, though...back OP today. FINALLY going camping this weekend, so hope to get some nice long walks in and make up a little for last weekend.

Still have about 5 lbs to go for the challenge...we shall see! May is turning out to be a slow month for me, but at least I'm (generally) going in the right direction. Plus this is for life and not a race! I have to remind myself of that sometimes.

Have a good week!

So I'm confused...are there two shan's running around this place? People are commenting about (shan) husband and stuff, but I know its not me because I'm not married. Haha! So, who is the other shan?

Hope everyone is doing well. My weight is climbing a little this week but I'm fighting hard to get back on track before the summer challenge starts. Plus I want to meet my challenge of 10lbs for this month.

Love to you all!

20% Gone

Hey y'all, I just ran the numbers on the calculator and realized that when I lost that whoosh last week it brought me under the 20% lost point!!

I got my subscription to Good Houskeeping Magazine and the cover story is a lady who has lost 44 pounds and in the picture she is with her daughter and it reads, "I've lost as much as my daughter weighs." I realized that I'VE LOST MY DAUGHTER too! She weighs 53 pounds at 9 years old.

Ok, so to lose another 10% I'll need to readjust my goal weight to 168.7 pounds.

I've been thinking about my goal weight. I chose 174 because that is what I weighed when I got married. My wedding dress was a size 10. I had my wedding/honeymoon pictures out the other day and I am very close to looking like I did then! So I'm thinking about moving my final goal down a bit anyhow. I'm thinking 164, that is what I weighed when I graduated high school! I don't think I'd want to get much under a size 8.

I think I'll wait till I reach my original 174 and then re-evalute.

I cannot believe I'm only 14 pounds away from my original goal!! It seemed nearly impossible when I started Jan. 4!! But the time has flown and here I am in the 180's!! This is doable - it really is!! Why did I wait so long to do it?

shan84 05-18-2010 09:27 AM

Hope everyone is doing great. I made it to my mini goal of 100lbs lost!! Check out my pictures. I'm scared to post this but hope it will give me the motivation and inspiration to continue my journey. Thanks to all my calorie counting chicks!! Your inspire me everyday!!

Shan that is incredible, good for you!!!! Keep up the good work!!

farn00a57 05-18-2010 12:23 PM

Hey, this is just a quick note from me. I have to work at 1 and I want to get in 40 minutes on the elliptical before I go to work, plus shower, eat lunch, and a load of laundry! I did 30DS L1D3 last night and it was killer again, but a little bit better!! That made me happy. The only thing is working out with already sore muscles can be rough, but i just pushed past that. I have lost a total of 7.5 pounds for my goal, so I'm at my half way point! I'm just going to get as close as I can to my goal by Mem Day. Pretty pumped because I honestly cannot tell you the last time that I weighed what I do now. I know for a fact that I'm the lightest that I have been in several years, so nothing can bring me down!!! I've come too far and I'm not stopping!!! I now know I have the ability to do do whatever I set my mind too! Well Miss USA speech aside, haha, I better get going. I will be back on later when I get a break from work.

PS: I'm also really close to having dropped my BMI by 10 points!!! whoo!!!!

Have a good day everyone!!!

jigglefree 05-18-2010 01:24 PM

For us to be two weeks away from the Challenge Deadline we are NAILING this thang. I'm looking at the posts above me and it's making me excited about working out and eating on plan!!
Farn - That is awesome. 10 POINTS!!!! That's what I'm talking about. DO IT!!
Shan - 100 lbs is an amazing accomplishment. That took some kind of commitment. Stick around so I can stay motivated!!
Susie - I know you are excited and it makes me excited too. I have a hope. I think lowering your goal will be fun. Even when you get to your final goal...stick around!!
KDM - I'm so proud of you staying with your exercise program while you were away. Were you excited about your mom working out with you? How are the level 2 workouts now...are they getting easier?
Lori - how are you today?? Been praying for you too.

I've had a great day. Took the baby to the dr for her 2yr appointment. She perfectly healthy and is grwoing well. YAY!! So I've been eating on plan today and getting ready to do my 30DS!! Then will be going to the day care for one last birthday party for the little girl. I stopped by Catos earlier and some of the things I tried on a month ago that fit today!! I like looking at my legs in the mirror seeing how much smaller they are from Christmas. I am so glad I started on this journey in Jan and stuck with it. I even more glad I found this site.

Another note: have any of you had buffalo meat before? We tried it last night and it was quite tasty!! May eat it more often. The calorie count in buffalo is much less than ground beef and ground turkey.

NorthernExposure 05-18-2010 05:31 PM

Shan-good for you! Thanks for posting the pics, u should be so proud of your progress!

Susie-great job on the 20%! You are doing so well! Can't wait to get into the -50 lbs club myself:)

jiggle: yes, buffalo is good! I had bison fajitas on my friend's b-day way back in January (about 45 lbs ago!). You can find it at some grocery stores, bit it's not cheap.

Well, off to do my workout now. Hope to get past 229 for this Friday's WI! Getting tired of this number now!!
