Default I ate an entire pizza tonight....

So why am I doing the CARROT DANCE?

.....because it was only 630 calories, all natural, whole grain crust with flax, and I totally planned for it in my calorie range for dinner.

I am still ending the day on plan and that's why I love counting calories, especially calorie cycling! I talked a bit about planning 'indulgences' in my blog tonight if anyone is interested

I just ate an entire pizza

What do you like to eat that people may say is 'bad' to eat while losing weight but you know it truly isn't so long as it is on plan, within your calories, and is a 'once in a while' food amongst all your veggies and lean protein?

Mine are pizza, chocolate, and occasional wine to name a few...

Because I have BTDT with weight loss before, I no longer "deprive" myself of certain foods because I know from experience depriving myself sets me up for failure and binges. If I want to have fast food, chocolate or whatever I am going to plan for it and put it within my calories for the day. My problem is only half what I eat....the other half has been portion sizes. So for now I am re-learning what normal portions/servings are and I am focusing on not being a glutton. If I measure out servings and count calories I feel like I can eat whatever I want.

Haha, you got me going with that subject line.

I try to make allowances for treats in my diet, but I admit I don't do it often. Those things are usually so high in calories, they crowd out my ability to get nutrients. But your low cal pizza is a great idea because it's tasty AND healthy.

For me, I still eat bacon once in a while. And I have a couple of beers on the weekends.

lol

What's sad though, is that I used to eat an entire regular-sized pizza Of course, not when anyone was around...

...but it is good to know I can still indulge if I am planning ahead, the food is nutritious and low-cal, and it falls within my plan

Fajitas! My hubby is on the way home with them for me right now! It's my highest calorie day and I'm not a bit guilty about eating them once a week. It's been the only "out to eat" food I've had since January, but I enjoy them! I LOVE Mexican food! And I will have my one Diet Coke with it!

I loooove pizza, but the kind I was used to eating was that gooey, greasy calorie-crazy stuff. The pizzeria down the street from me makes a pizza so greasy your hands get drenched eating just one piece o.0

I have since discovered those strips of pizza (the ones with just tomato sauce on some bread) that my local bakery makes. Just 150 calories! And sooo delicious. I love to eat them cold, with some baked chips and a diet soda for an awesome lunch. No more 4 pieces of pizza, ten hot wings with blue-cheese, and cheesy garlic bread like before... I said goodbye to bad pizza like a cheating ex-lover and haven't looked back! XD

I try to watch my saturated fats (heart disease runs in my family) but once in a blue moon, I figure in Taco Bell. I know it's total junk, but that's why I only eat rarely.

Pizza as well. There's a great pizzeria near my mom on Staten Island and I never once gained weight eating their pizza. It has an extremely thin crust and sparingly doles out the mozzarella.

Soooooooo... are you going to tell us a bit more about this magical pizza you speak so highly of? Did you make it? Did you buy it? I want details! Pizza cravings are so hard for me to control - and I know if it's there, I'll eat the whole pizza, so I try to stay away for my own good!

LOL @ magical pizza. It was Kashi brand! They make several flavors, this one was 630 for the entire pizza (3 servings at 210 each) - and they are fairly large -- well, not as large as a traditional pizza but good enough to rid me of the craving lol

I could feel satisfied eating half with a salad had I fewer calories to play with
