Hey everyone. Just got home from the spa, the massage was AWESOME and I love the way they did my hair! I will definitely be going back to them for haircuts, massages, and mani- & pedicures. I'm feeling a lot better now and can finally talk again (although my voice is still really rough), but I'm coughing a lot more now. Then I had chinese food for dinner last night, so my weight was up to 177.6 today. Have to bring my cat into the vet today, he got either bit or scratched by another cat and it formed an abcess (which has ruptured and is very digusting). So hopefully he won't have to stay overnight, he's already very upset that he's had to stay inside the past 2 days.

susieyarb 03-04-2010 03:26 PM

One more quick thing -

It's my 2 month point of starting this new way of life. I didn't measure myself for the first time until last month on the 10th. But I'm going to start measuring each month now on the 4th. I measured again this morning and I lost 7 inches total!! So that wasn't even a full month's worth. I was very pleased!

I was super shocked that I lost the most in my hips and thighs!! 3.5 inches in just those two areas! I can tell my booty is shrinking, though! Now my waist needs to join in the game a little more!

Anyhow, just wanted to share that bright spot for the day!

I read on another thread how one poster has a pair of size 10's (my goal too) and she tries them on each month on her start day and takes a picture. That way she can see her progress from month to month. I think I'm going to go buy an inexpensive pair of size 10 capri's today and start doing that. I'll try not to get depressed when they don't come up past my calves!!!

fruitlady 03-04-2010 03:35 PM

yes, I knew I was going to gain another pound from that binge 2 days ago and I did. I did good with 1060 cal yesterday and 1100 cal. today. Now I usually will see a loss on the second day of lower calories. Let's see what happens. Now I have 4 lbs. to lose for the challenge.

KDM322 03-04-2010 08:34 PM

Back from my shopping trip...and boy, was it successful!!! I got 1 pair of black Banana Replubic dress pants (men's) for only $3 at goodwill..but, then I went to Fashion Bug and got 2 pairs of black pants for $11.24 each!!! WOOHOO...AND they're size 14!!!!!!! also at FB, I got 3 tank tops for exercising and they're only a size L! I can't believe this! These are the smallest clothes that I've bought since probably jr. high (besides the size 12 Gap jeans I bought last fall for my motivation...they're still hanging on the wall in my bedroom...i tried them on today and they actually buttoned AND zipped...waaaaaay too tight, but when I bought them they were atleast 2inches from buttoning!!!!) So, as you all can tell, I'm feeling really good right now!!!!

Susie--no, I don't wear scrubs--I'm a death investigator at the medical examiner's office...we're required to wear twill or cargo pants and button down or polo shirts...but like i said, I dont like to spend alot because i could possibly ruin them on the first day I wear them...also, CONGRATS on the 7inches!! I really need to measure myself to see progress from Jan.1

zoo--aaah, the spa! I've never been, but may for my birthday later this month! glad you're feeling a little better...sorry about your kitty

fruit--good job gettin back on track w/calories!!

farn00a57 03-04-2010 09:02 PM

KDM: death investigator? What exactly does that entail? Do you assist with autopsies and such? One of my majors is sociology-law,criminology, and deviance. I have really considered finding a job in a medical examiner's office. What kind of educational background is needed for your job?! Congrats on the size 14!!!! that is so amazing and I hope to get there someday!! so jealous!!!!! you earned it!!! :carrot:

susieyarb: I hope you are right! that would be amazing and yes walking with those stupid crutches are definitely a workout! I have made myself get up and do laps around the house .haha. And NICE JOB ON THOSE SEVEN INCHES!!!!!!!!!!!! Whoo!!! that is sooooo awesome!! congrats!!!!!!! :carrot:

fruitlady: it happens to all of us. You got this though. I know it. Own those 4 pounds!!!!!!!!

zoochick: omg I can't even begin to tell you how jealous I am of you right now!! A day at the spa sounds sooooo great right...about...now!! Sorry to hear about you cat too :( hopefully he's alright!

katy05: oh you so are gonna make your goal that is so awesome!! you have been kickin major butt too and totally deserve it!!

julesp: yes make sure you don't only measure your progress by the scale. That's something I have to remind myself of almost daily. It can be so depressing because a scale can either provide instant gratification or an upset....muscles weigh more than fat!! but i'm sure you know that, just keep kickin butt and the scale will have to change eventually!!! :)

You guys are all just a bunch of awesome chicas. Keep workin' hard and kickin' ***!!!!!

Lori259 03-04-2010 09:38 PM

WOW~So many great things happening~Congrads everyone~Y'all are rocking it!!!! IA M VERY PROUD OF ALL OF U!
I ate a little over my calories today But I did more stuff today...Lots of cleaning with the exercising. So I will count it even.Plus I had a stressful day and sometimes I exercise more & eat a little more when stressed but it equals itself out.
Was gonna pay bills today but forgot my hubby had an appointment to figure out why he has been in pain alot lately...He has Rheumatiod arthritis. Which is shattering to me. My dad had lupus & these are both very similair things. Both more rare in men. Both suck! I guess it could have been something worse. But I am just a mess...So If I am on & off here for the next day or 2 with not much to say ignore me~Cause I am devistated basically. He is my best friend & My kids & him are my everything as was my dad. I am worried sick about him. I am so use to him doing everything for me & so is he..so When I try to help him he will not let me ~I feel so badly for him. He is never a complainer & he hurts so bad that he has been complaining and the doctor said it was so far progressed & set in that physical therapy will not help at all. He starts meds 2morrow and will be going to see another doctor in the future to see what if anything can be done to help him. Just kinda all really sucks since I am having issues too and Not knowing an answer to my health issues is driving me bananas!
Anyways...... please keep my hubby in your thoughts & prayers. He is such a good man~He has to be ~to have a great woman like me!(LOL~Was being so depressing thought I would throw in a joke) HUGS TO ALL~thanks for being the super bestest 3fatchicks members in the world in for this challenge~cause I do not know what I would do without y'all.
Gotta pay bills 2morrow...so will type again as soon as possible

KDM322 03-04-2010 11:41 PM

farn---a death investigator responds to deaths outside of a medical facility that are unnatural (homicide, suicide, accident, etc)...we perform a brief body exam and document any findings with photography...also, interview families/witnesses to help prepare a report for the pathologist...I do not assist w/autopsies (OH HOW I WISH I DID!!!), but some offices the investigators do get to assist w/autopsies (Columbus, OH I know used to do it this way) ...it really depends on the office as to your background...I have a BS in Forensic Identification and a MS in Forensic Medicine...others in my department had law enforcement or EMS esperience...

Lori---sooo sorry about the hubs! a co-worker of mine has RA and i know it can be very painful! she actually goes through chemo once a month for it...i'll be praying for you guys!

MrsLovett 03-05-2010 08:30 AM

Hi all!

Sorry I haven't been on here in a while:( I've been reading, I just haven't been saying anything. Somehow everything I type out sounds dumb. But I've lost 2 lbs. in the past two weeks according to my dietitian. I guess that brings me to about 111.5 lbs.? I'm only guessing because I haven't stepped on the scale in a week. It was up two pounds last time I checked, so I'm afraid to get on it again.

I don't think I fit into those size 2 pants yet. One question though... which store is a good one to try them on in? I usually shop in Target, Old Navy, and Kohl's. Would any of those do? Oh yes, I tried on a bathing suit yesterday. What a disaster!:(

MrsLovett

ShylahEQ 03-05-2010 08:58 AM

I'm normally not a weigh every day type of girl either. It's something I'm trying out this month in another thread to really see how what I eat is effecting me over all. Though, it may be the death of me so I might have to stop lol

emileigh 03-05-2010 09:15 AM

It's been interesting seeing what everyone has been up to for the past couple of days. I am on my way to work but just wanted to register my weekly weigh-in which was up 1.5 lbs this week. I am not changing my ticker because I and most everyone in my group weighed more:( . We are getting new scales because we all agreed that something isn't right.

Hope you all have a wonderful Friday.

misspriss78 03-05-2010 10:35 AM

Good morning chics!

Well, its confirmed..i got my DD's stomach bug:mad: i felt awful yesterday but im doing a little bit better today. Ive been to the bathroom about a gazzilion times, ugh.

Hello to everyone!

JD-I LOVE your lyrics at the end of your post..SO CUTE! makes me want to get up and dance:p

ok...gotta get some house cleaning done...have a GROOVY day and talk to you guys later:hug:

Losing4another 03-05-2010 03:58 PM

hello all....Checking in after getting caught back up on all the chatting :) Haven't fell of plan yet but the scale isn't moving much. I was jumping on it 4 times a day hoping for any downward movement and all that does is give 4 different upward weighs  My sleep pattern has been all over the place so first morning weigh in isn't the lowest anymore. I really need to break up with my scale for a while we are getting way to close  Still hoping to make my st patty's day goal... :D

Misspriss- get well soon  I woke up dizzy yesterday morning and it turned out to be a head cold. Felt like my head was going to pop...it's a little better today with some powerful sinus meds :)

emileigh- Hope the new scale is nicer to you ;)

shylah- I hear that...my scale drives me batty

Lori- Sorry about dh ... Hope he finds something to help with the pain  My hubby likes to do it all too. You just have to not take no for an answer....or have it done before he even knows what your doing

KDM- what a neat job...bet you don't complain often about a boring day

julesp313 03-05-2010 04:09 PM

Lori - very sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis. I don't know much about RA but I believe there are various treatment options that can help, so hopefully one of those will work out for him.

Funny that you guys say to take measurements and use that as a reference point instead of just the scale - I did exactly that this morning! I usually measure monthly but this was three weeks, and I was down on all the measurements, so definitely things are getting tighter and smaller! Also, one of my older but favorite pairs of pants are fitting so much better - they have these diagonal pockets that used to gape horribly because I was too big for the pants, but I noticed when I put them on today that they are not gaping AT ALL. Ah, the small victories I must learn to embrace! :)

fruitlady 03-05-2010 04:51 PM

I ate 1100 cal. today. 100 less than yesterday, that's good. I lost a 1/2 a lb. from 2 days of dieting ****. That doesn't seem fair to me.

KDM322 03-05-2010 05:31 PM

Well, according to the scale today, I'VE MET MY ST. PATTY'S DAY GOAL!!! However, I will truly believe it when it reads 17x tomorrow! LoL I went ahead and changed my ticker bc I like to change it w/every drop...the only bad thing is that I'm not sure the scale has been friendly bc I'm eating more, exercising more, or TOM is almost over?!?!?!?!? Maybe a combo of all 3, but I'll take it! LoL I did WATP 30min Walk and WATP Walk & Kick so 1hr total for today! YAY!

MrsLovett--I say try on pants at all 3 places...different brands at each place...you may just find a brand that sz2 will fit :o)

Shylah--I weigh every day to see how food affects me also...but if it's driving you crazy, then just take a break for a few days! It worked for me! LoL

emiliegh--good luck w/the new scale

misspriss--hope you feel better soon...hope you're enjoying your new place!

losing--I found that weighing multiple times WILL DRIVE YOU CRAZY! LOl and No, my job is never boring!!! LoL

jules--thats AWESOME about your pants!! those diagonal pockets are always a deal breaker for me when I'm shopping! LoL

fruit--good job gettin back on plan! It's not fair that the weight comes on so easily, but it's much harder to get rid of it...but hang in there, it will come off!!

Off to meet my aunt for dinner! Here's to hoping I can choose something atleast a little bit healthy!! LoL I still have a TON of cal, so we'll see what happens!! HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!!

susieyarb 03-05-2010 10:22 PM

Well, I lost 1 pound for the week. Not what I was hoping for, but at least it's a loss and not a gain. It could be TOM still affecting me too. That puts me at needing to lose 4 more pounds for my St. Patty's goal. I sure hope my body & the scale cooperate. I'm doing everything I can to make it happen!

I tried on my new (16 nuthin') jeans again today, and they fit! I'm wearing them tomorrow for the first time. They fit perfectly now. I am so excited. I haven't worn anything w/o a "W" behind it since 1996!!!! I also found a really cute pair of super dark wash jeans on EBAY I got for $5 and they came yesterday. They are really cute, look better in real life than they did online and they're brand new. They're still a bit snug in the waist, but hopefully next week they'll fit too.

I went last night and got a pair of size 10 jean capris and tried them on and took a picture. They went up further than I thought they would to tell the truth! But I looked at them and thought, "how on earth will I ever be THAT small?!" It looked like I was trying on my 9 year old daughter's jeans! But that's the purpose of taking a pic each month on my "anniversary" day so I can see my progress month after month.

I ended up at 1379 calories today and walked 3 times around my subdivision which is right at 2 miles. It was so nice today, 62*, and I walked with some neighbor ladies which was fun.

LORI: I'm so sorry to hear of your husband's diagnosis. I hope they can find some medicine for him to ease the pain. I don't know much about RA.

KRISTA: How awesome that you've met your St. Patty's goal already! Oh my goodness when I see those 170's I'm going to scream with joy!

SHYLA: I weigh using my Wii fit, it's what I started with. I have to get it all out and set up each time (have to unplug the dvd and plug the wii in etc.) so it's a big pain in the bootie. I'd probably be more apt to hop on the scale more often if it were "right there" so it's probably a good thing I use the Wii and just do it once a week. I finally got new batteries for my bathroom scale, but it weighs 2 pounds heavier than the Wii so I'm sticking with the Wii!!! Once I get close to maintenance, though, I'll have to start using the bathroom scale. But I think I'll still just weigh a couple times a week, at least that's my plan right now.

Lori259 03-05-2010 11:19 PM

ughhhhhhhh~long day. My hubby sent me out to pay the bills & to shop. He gave me 50 bucks. I shopped til I dropped. More or less. & this gave him the day to relax while I was gone & the kids was in school. I think he just didn't want me to see him in pain.~Anyways...off to bed...I adore all of ya but I am soooooooooooo sleepy. I took all 3 of my xanax today that I am prescribed a day.( I normally just take one of them & sometimes a half at night before bed) I ate 1260 calories..which I normally eat evry bit of my 1400~I am stressed & Depressed I think...UGH! ~Off to get some sleep.

misspriss~Your avatar pic Brightens my days! I know I mentioned before I like it~But I am so happy you have a beautiful family cause your a great girl~Love that pic!! HUGS!

Everyone else~HUGS ~OFF TO BED

Losing4another 03-05-2010 11:31 PM

KMD- :yay: your early too :cp: Forgot about TOM effecting weigh in ..maybe thats why my scale was driving me more crazy than usual. Thankfully TOM is gone and will stop making deals with my scale to drive me batty  How did you do at dinner?

Susie- way to go getting into the 16. I'm on my way into a 20 and excited to be so close to anything that doesn't include a 20 something. I have a wii fit too and have to do the same thing...unplug the DVD and plug in the wii fit lifting and moving my huge old school TV....One of these days we will upgrade to the flat screen. Each place I weigh in is different....Weight watchers is a pound less than my scale and the DR office is four pounds more.

Went a little over in points but I have the flex to spare. Hopefully the scale doesn't find out  Looking forward to being able to sleep more than 4 hours straight tonight. Has anyone seen the crazies? My 14 yr old wants me to take her to see it this weekend. I already had nightmares about it and haven't even watched it yet..At what age do the kids stop liking the horror films and start liking the normal drama/comedy movies? Guess I shouldn't complain this same child still wants to watch alice in the wonderland too.

farn00a57 03-05-2010 11:55 PM

Lori: I am so terribly sorry to hear about your husband and his RA. I only hope that God helps you guys during this difficult situation. Be strong!!!

KDM: Wow. I am completely jealous. Well I'm still in school so haven't started "looking" for jobs yet but I would really be interested in a job like yours. There has got to be a lot of competition to get into a position like that though. How many years have you been doing it?! oh and CONGRATS on making your St. Patty's Day goal!!!!!! :carrot::carrot::carrot: That is soo awesome!!!

Losing4another: it sounds like your child has good taste in movies!! haha, I want to see those movies as well. I'm actually going to see Alice in Wonderland tonight. I hear it's getting mixed reviews, but that's always the case with Tim Burton films.

Well, today was just a quick check in. I'm still trying to find new and unique ways to exercise without using my ankle. I have started doing rehabilitating exercises with it to regain my strength and my function. I can finally walk on it with only minimal pain, but it is a very awkward walk. haha. with time I will be back to good again!! :) well I justed wanted to let you all know that I'm down another pound today, so that means that I'm only 1-6 pounds away from my original goal!! I originally intended on 15-20 pounds lost for St Patty's day and right now I am sitting at 14 pounds lost. So i'm pretty pumped about that!! We will see if i make my max goal or not. Well I'm off to go get ready to see Alice in Wonderland!!!!!!!!! I have been waiting two years for this film! I loved the books and I absolutely love Tim Burton, he's my favorite director, so this is going to be pretty awesome for me! Have a good night! :)

misspriss78 03-06-2010 07:38 AM

Good Morning chics

Today i plan on getting back in the groove of my workouts, ive got an upper body + step workout planned, about an hour in total. The scale is up five lbs,i haven't really been trying to lose the last couple of weeks so im not surprised...hopefully
some of it is water:dizzy:

Lori-Your so sweet, thank you. You and your DH are in my thoughts and prayers, hopefully the meds will help with your dh's pain. Hugs girl, hang in there,k

KDM-Congrats on meeting your goal for st pats day! yay!

A big HELLO to everyone...im off to eat some breakfast and start my workout...have an AWESEOME saturday:carrot:

Edit to add-----Workout done, did an upper body weight work! i feel better!

farn00a57 03-06-2010 11:18 AM

Just a quick check in: I'm down another 1/2 a pound putting me closer to my goal! Oh and Alice in Wonderland was amazing! Go see it if you have time and make sure to watch it in 3D!!! Well I'm off! Have a good weekend everybody!! Oh and this 1/2 pound puts me at a bmi of 39.9 so I'm no longer stage 3 obesity!!!! I know it's a stupid thing but it really makes me happy!!! Mini little victory!!!!

NightAngel26 03-06-2010 11:27 AM

ok...

so my friend couldn't come exercise yesterday so I decided to get in some grocery shopping. It was an ok workout I guess lol. My friend will be back on monday, and we will work out the whole week. I'll lose some time on Thursday because I'm getting two teeth filled. I am sooo scared of the dentist...of the filling, of being awake. I hope I can stand it. Then hopefully I'll be willing to get a little exercise in too.

Either way it's great to have someone to exercise with during the week.

I'm down 1lb today which is pretty good since I ate pizza yesterday...not a ton, but I figured it would be bad for me. Tomorrow, if I am down one more... since I'm almost there anyway... I'm going to do progress pics. Then I'll have to figure out how to splice them together so I can create a line of them on one stretch.

Have a good day yall, it's pretty nice here, hope it's nice where you are!

julesp313 03-06-2010 11:54 AM

Heading out to see my horse, which I so desperately need - equine therapy is better than retail therapy! Well, maybe it's a tie if the retail therapy involves shoes... :)

For some reason, I woke up today feeling like I'm recommitting to getting into better shape. I think realizing that even if the scale is stuck, I am eating better foods, working out for increased energy, and my body is getting fitter and smaller, all put my head in a different place. Now I actually WANT to eat well and WANT to work out. DH is home this weekend and wants to get some weight plates for his barbell - why we have a barbell handle without any weights is beyond me, though I suspect his brother has the weights as he also took our weight bench. Anyway, I use my fitness ball instead of a bench but I really need some heavier weights - doing chest presses with 10lb dumbbells doesn't even begin to cut it! I think we may use some of our tax refund on some adjustable dumbbells and weights for the barbell. Then all I need to do is actually USE them. ;)

Lori259 03-06-2010 01:33 PM

~just checking in for the day~it's suppose to reach 50 degrees today!!
So I am gonna do lots of Spring Cleaning today....I weighed in at 161.8 Today so I doubt I make my 150's by tommorrow~but thats ok. I will eventually & place it in my daddy's memory 100 pounds lost for him....& me too of course.Unless I hit a mricale low 2morrow. Ya never know.My hubby is trying to take it easy after doing way to much today so contnue to keep him in your prayers. He is in horrible pain~On meds now but nothing for pain other than Basic ibuprofen.HUGS TTYL!

jigglefree 03-06-2010 03:46 PM

Was planning to go shopping today to try on some clothes in the regular size 18 but I don't really feel like doing anything. Maybe tomorrow. I'm eating on plan.

When I don't get enough sleep my body feels weak, so today is a rest day.

fruitlady 03-06-2010 03:53 PM

I had 1170 calories today, which is good. But I was really tempted to over eat because my mom w/ dementia was really bad today. I felt like I just had to do something for myself or reward myself. I can't let her get to me, I will hold strong. I refuse to gain weight because of it! I lost 2 lbs. in 3 days, I'm really trying. I have 2 lbs to go for the challenge!

Losing4another 03-06-2010 06:10 PM

farn- looks like Alice in the wonderland is a good movie your the third person thats said it was really good. went to see the crazies today...Was okay keeps you jumping  Not as scary as the nightmare I had about it. My daughter was scared I was going to be the only one yelling at the people in the movie  The lady beside us happened to be the loudest! Congrats on the BMI...Hope to be there soon too!

Looks like we are all doing well this saturday...My daughter is making cookies. Shes taking a cooking class in school and wants to show off her skills...Why oh way do they teach them to bake sweets first...yikes! On a good note I put on a top I have yet to wear in a 1x I bought a while ago and it's now to big :D Loved the top but it being to big feels good too!

Nightangel- We have alot of people scared of the dentist here so your not alone...At least it will be done and over with...for a while anyway

Lori- Want to spring clean in florida? I need to unclutter my office...it has turned into the throw it in there because I don't know where else to put it room.

Lori259 03-06-2010 10:42 PM

Lorra~Sure I would love to come for a visit!! I will clean for a free vacation to the fabulous Florida!!! hehehe

I am supppppppppppppppppppper Tired On my way to bed.
GOODNIGHT EVERYONE HAVE A HAPPY SUNDAY.

HUGS TO ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!

KDM322 03-07-2010 02:05 AM

farn--I'm not sure how competitive it is, other than most places want you to have experience rather than education...WHICH SUCKS! I've only been doing it about 3.5 years and I was really REALLY lucky to get hired here...I didn't have any experience, but had a master's which this place actually favors education LoL I just lucked out tho, my mom found their website bc she was helping me look for jobs...i was getting frustrated thinkin my education had gone to waste bc i kept getting rejection letters after submitting my application/resume bc they wanted experience...so I all can sugguest: NEVER GIVE UP! There are some places that will take educ. over exp...also..CONGRATS on being SO close to goal!!! And out of Stage 3!

night--Congrats on being so close! As for splicing the pics, I use the application on my Yahoo mail account (if you got the latest version) and it works pretty good...then I upload it to photobucket or something like that to put it on 3fc...Good Luck...can't wait to see ur progress!!

jules--how was the equine therapy?? hope you had a good time...

lori--**Here's to that miracle!!** Hope your WI tomorrow is a happy one!!! If not, then it's all good!! you've already come so far!!! I'm sure you dad is looking down on you & is sooo proud!!!

jiggle--hope you get more sleep tonight! I know how ya feel w/little sleep!

fruit--Good job staying strong...dementia is such a nasty disease...

losing--good luck resisting those cookies!! maybe she can bake them, you eat just one, then suggest taking them to neighbors or family!! LoL That's usually how I resist..giving it away!!!

AS FOR ME...dinner last night w/my aunt wasn't too awful bad...we did good resisting the appetizers, but then our waitress came out after we'd been waiting a really long time and gave us nachos & spinach cheese dip bc she said she was bringing our food out and someone ran into her making her drop our food...so the free app. was to hold us over...BUUUT, i couldn't resist!!! then i had ordered the chicken parm...it came with a big honkin pile of linguini and 2 huge chkn breasts...but I can honestly say that I feel I did pretty good...atleast for me that is...i usually eat everything in front of me bc i feel if I'm paying good money, then I need to get my money's worth...HOWEVER, I only ate half the pasta and 1 chkn brst and packed the rest up for DH (who was at work) we also only ate half the appetizer and packed it up for him also....so instead of me eating it all at the restaurant OR when i got home, I gave it to DH!! LoL

AND the scale was only up 0.4 today...but I'm confident I'll be back at goal in no time :D So I'm gonna see if I can lose an extra pound before 3/17...it's still hard to believe I've lost 50lbs total! It just doesn't seem like that much to me...I guess that's bc it's came off so slowly over such a long time (since June 08) But I still have a long road ahead...and I'm not giving up! making 170 by June seems more doable each day!!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!! You've helped me soooo much these last few months!!!!

OH BTW, I got an iPod touch (traded my Nintendo DS) AND I'm OBSESSED already!! and the LoseIt! app is sooo cool! it allows you to track calories AND exercise! Plus has a pedometer that will track cal burned and distance...so I'm gonna test WATP tomorrow...should be interesting!!!

misspriss78 03-07-2010 07:32 AM

Good Morning

I forgot to mention....did anyone happen to watch Rachael Ray Friday? She had Ricco DiSpirito on there with his new recipe book called Now Eat This...i think im gonna pick it up, there is over 150 comfort foods in it that are all UNDER 350 calories! They made Cheese sticks that looked DELICIOUS and some pizza that i want to try...

Wow I missed alot! Ok quick post and then i'll get back on and get to everyone later.

This is the first weekend I've been binge free in a long time! Wahooo! Since I was flying solo this weekend I got a bottle of wine friday night and only had 8floz that's it! I ate my dinner pre-CC out and stopped eating at 8pm. Then saturday I went way over my calories, however didn't binge. Just had a higher calorie densed meals....the alfredo sauce I used for my pasta was very high calorie. I ate my 3 meals, 3 snacks, and didn't have late night snacking and again only 1 glass of wine. the scale has rewarded me this morning! Today I'm cleaning like a mad woman! The bf is coming home from his trip and I want everything to be perfect. Plus I'm making his fav. macaroni salad and I will put a portion of it aside before I add the may for me, so I will enjoy it but without mayo, or maybe a TBsp of light mayo. Ok well back to it, more laundry, grocery shopping and getting ready. I hope everyone has a great day and I'll get back to you later.

miss--glad that devilish water weight is going away for ya!!!

jdon-CONGRATS ON A BINGE-FREE WEEKEND!!!! you must feel sooo good!!!

My Scale was very generous today...179.0!!! I got on & off 3x just to make myself believe it! LoL It got me pumped so I then did WATP High Cal. Burn, Exercise TV Upper Body, AND WATP Power Mile for a total 70min continuous workout!! YAY! I still have 900cal for dinner so I'm good to go! I'm making meat loaf for DH (he gets off at 7) it's an amazing recipe i found on sparkpeople.com (http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recip...?recipe=657787) the only thing I change is the rice...I use yellow rice instead of wild rice...might try brown rice tonight or just leave it...also, I always recalculate the calories for how many servings I get out of it out...the previous times I've made the recipe, they've ranged from 135-150 per mini loaf (muffin size) AND THEY'RE SOOO GOOD!!!! I'm thinking I'll do one big loaf tonight..I'll have to figure out serving size tho...

Hope everyone is having a GREAT SUNDAY and we're down to the last week & a half! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!! we CAN do this!!!!

jigglefree 03-07-2010 05:10 PM

jdonato - So proud of you!! I think that is awesome!!

KDM - That meatloaf sounds tasty. I'm excited for you making it to 170!! Keep up the good work.

I MADE IT TO MY ST PATRICK'S DAY GOAL!!! I went to the mall, ross, tjmaxx and marshall's and tried on regular size 18s and extra large shirts. No Plus Sizes in any store. The all fit and looked really good. I even tried on a a size 16 dress and ROCKED IT!!! The girl in the dressing room with me even told me I could go down a size in the dress!!! That would have been too tight for me. Working on my next goal for my daughter's birthday - Size 16 by my May 16th!!!!

julesp313 03-07-2010 09:44 PM

Jigglefree - congrats on the sucessful shopping trip! Isn't it a great feeling when you try something on and it's too big? Oh dear, have to go down a size... bummer... :)

JD - glad you had a "controlled" weekend. I know only too well that weekends can invite binges - I had an unplanned overeat yesterday, but I got over it and got on with it!

I'm watching the Oscars on DVR - only way to go! Fast forward through all the speeches. I just want someone to get up there and say "Thanks to everyone who ever did anything for me" and be done! And I'm making pizza - I dug out the "Eating for Life" cookbook, which is great because the recipes contain stuff I can easily find in stores, not speciality foods. I'm making the bbq chicken pizza right now and it smells so good! I do wish the cookbook had nutritional facts but it's pretty easy to figure it out as I know exactly what's going into it. I have my food ready for the week, and my workouts planned - I will stick to it this week!

jdonato 03-07-2010 10:00 PM

jigglefree: thanks that means alot. I'm trying to take it day by day. And I am very proud of you for meeting your goal and looking sexy in your new sizes:carrot:. Let's go size 18 and 16 here we come!

KDM: awesome job on the 170's! That is amazing and a huge accomplishment. I may use your meatloaf idea this week. I'm trying to figure out meals that are low cal and the bf will like. Way to go the other night with your aunt at dinner. It's stories like that, help me keep binge free. Keep it up!

misspriss: sorry your stomach is still icky. I hope you feel better. You're doing awesome at your workouts. Congrats on the 2.2lbs!

julesp313: thanks for encouragement. We all have our eating days and being able to pick ourselves up and continue is the best thing of all. Enjoy the Oscars, my mom is a huge buff on watching that. Oh and tell me how the pizza turns out...as I told KDM i'm looking for recipes :)

Lori: I am very proud of you for how far you've come. Your family is very lucky to have a strong woman like you and we are as well. I hope your DH feels better and you got some good stuff shopping:D

losing4another: congrats on your shirt being too big! that's a great feeling. good luck with the cookies....kick their butt:carrot:

fruitlady: I'm here for you! We can do this together. I hope you have a better day.

NightAngel: I can't wait for the pics! congrats on the 1 lb you are soo close. keep it up!

susieyarb: Way to go on the 16's. That a major accomplishment! You will get to 10 in no time....you got it going on!:belly:

If I missed anyone else I"m really sorry. I will double check tomorrow. I have to go pick up the bf here shortly. I got all the cleaning and laundry done. I went grocery shopping and got dinner prepared so it's all ready when he walks in plus got his lunch ready for tomorrow. Since he'll get in late he won't make his lunch and then eat like crap the next day. I made turkey burgers and macaroni salad, but put some on the side w/o mayo for me. I wish everyone sweet dreams.

KDM322 03-07-2010 11:26 PM
