Well I have now been up for close to 24 hours. Most of that I was running around sewing, doing errands and crafting. I have already burned off 2200 calories (MY DAILY GOAL) according to my go wear fit since midnight so I am not too fussed about the fact I am going to be over for today. I will go to bed in an hour or two, sleep 12 hours, and then be back on a diurnal schedule for a while.

Good Morning Ladies:)
Don't know if it was me,but I had a hard time getting into the 3fc board yesterday. Looks like it fixed and I can post again. This is what happened to us yesterday. We went to the cancer center this morning to speak with the chemo doctor of what will be the next drug used and when with the next treatment take place. He couldn't understand why my dh was having a radiation reaction, until he saw the just released FDA report. He only heard of 12 cases that had these reactions. Now my dh makes the 13th. Our doctor made an appointment with a lung specialized from Dana Farber Hospital in Boston to see my dh at our center this Tuesday. Now for me, on the calorie counting road to losing weight. I'm now going to decide whether I should lower my calories 100-200 calories more on this high calorie, low calorie day. Thinking about 1400/400 or 1500/500 for a while and see what happens. I think I'm stalling at 1600/600.,as my bod is getting used to this one range. Might throw a medium calorie count in between. CEBSME-I'm so sorry about your dad,but prayers are they way to go.MY DH is facing lung cancer again, and we both believe that your not alone as the Good Lord is always with us, and I will add him to my prayer list. I have one especially for my internet friends.I leaning to thought that idea also, any activity were you moving will burn calories,so house work will be added to my workout for the day. PRINNY-Best of luck with your goals and getting those customs ready. |
Well I am down another pound now. It feels good to be back to losing after a week or two of nothing. I decided to do the morning workouts through our parks and rec dept. It starts in about two weeks. 5:45am Mondays is a step class, wed Zomba and friday is strengthening (weights, ball and bands). I thought about doing a Sat class also....but I'll see if how this goes first. Baby steps...
Beachbum: Your low cal days are really low. I've never done cycling that extream. What does a typical low cal day menu look like? How do you feel on those days? |
TOM, haven't weighed in a while. Feel bloated and yucky. Working hard on the costumes.
Hope you gus are doing ok, just very bust right now. p.s. I am going to have a couple glasses of wine looks like, because booze is the ONLY thing that helps my cramps. Nothing to mix with my vodka. feh. |
Hi Ladies :)
Had a rush morning, not sure if I was going to church with the Hurricane Bill that was supposed to take the Cape & Islands for a storm, but it fizzled out to sea and we now enjoying a beautiful sunny summer afternoon. BABYBLUES-I tried the calorie cycling the reg was by have 1600 one day and 1200 the next but it didn't work so I though that maybe instead of going down 500 calories I go 1000 instead. The food I have on my low day are protein shakes[190] for breakfast and either a low calories froz entree [220] or low cal recipe for dinner at noon, and a salad or low cal soup veggie based for supper. I try to keep away from bread carbs as much as possible on those days and when I do that I don't feel hungry. PRINNY-By all means wait until Tom and the bloating are gone before Weighing In. |
Good Morning Ladies:)
Its going to be another scorcher, but we have our A/C running and it cool indoors. My Mon W-I wasn't bad either I did manage to lose .5 this week.Wish it was more but I over ate over on my MD & UD this weekend. Going to try to limit myself to another 100 calories,my up day 1500 my low 500. Nothing else is new, other than I reported on the my last post. |
Ok so this last week I was really really really good. I mean really good. And I started running again. But I didn't lose anything. Not fair right?? I'm trying hard not to get upset about it, but is like studying really hard, acing the test and then getting a C in the class. WTH?

I have had a bloody tenacious sweet tooth this week, stupid TOM. Keep in mind, I really don't much care for sweets. Even as a child I would rather have had another pork chop than a piece of pie. Been hitting the 0 calorie choicolate syrup and 100 calorie panda licorice bars. *sigh*
Still have not weighed in properly but I did step on the scale fully clothed and I think I am down. Maybe I'll check tomorrow. Ok time to make tuna salad salads for dinner, then more costuming. |
Today we have liver -cooked in coconut milk- for dinner. Honestly, before counting I never noticed/ knew just how cholesterolriffic it was.
Not passing it up, though. I like the dish too much. Am (trying to) compensating with adding more exercise and cutting down on lunch and leaner coffee. Even with 150+ kcal off quota yesterday, I'm making it up today. |
One word....EXHAUSTED...
Last night was my first night of classes. It actually went well, except for the fact that I went from 3:30-8:10 in classes without time to stop at a rest room and drank 3 bottles of water in that time and my dinner shake. Boy was I glad when my last lecture was over. Sorry I won't be able to do personal responses. Just wanted everyone to know I survived, and I hope you all are doing well. |
HI Ladies:)
Had a busy morning first to have my hair cut ,go grocery shopping and than cook dinner. It looks like the weather has finally broken and it now easier to breath when going out doors. crcossel-Sorry the scale wasn't good to you.Its a possibility that you might had a NSV by losing inches instead.I bit you have a good w-i next week. PRINNY-Sorry about your sweet tooth, especially when TOM hanging around. My doctor told me that a craving for sweets is a reaction to being on low carb. Are you low carbing for any reason????? Symmetry-I used to love liver, but according to my doctor I shouldn't have it as I have a high cholesterol problem, but if you only have it once in a while I don't think it will hurt you. CEBME-I guess when anyone starts classes it hard to focus, and you do get Exhausted. Glad you had some time to check in. |
beach bum : Yeah, hopefully so  I mean, I'm trying to get the cholesterol under control, but.. the food here... *cough* I just try to be better with lunches and snacks. ;)
Anyway, it seems I can survive coconut milk and meats to eleven fine, but my daily calorie fails facing sweet desserts. Argh. |
Good Morning Ladies:)
Have a doctor appointment this morning to remove a growth on my nose,it started to bleed when laying on it while I was sleeping, and I'm so paranoid, now that my DH has his cancer returned. Other wise noting going on,it looks like we are going to get some cooler [window opening] days. I can finally take advantage and get some walking done sometime this afternoon. Symmetry-I don't the recipes from this site as I have lots of cookbooks to follow from. I have my cholesterol test next month and I'm going to ask him to check my thyroid also.If you crave sweet desserts, according to my doctor is that your to low in carbs.I don't crave sweet desserts, donuts are any of that,I have the salty craving like pretzels, potatoes chips and sodium infested foods. That's the reason I cook to keep an eye on my sodium content. |
Beach- Hope you appointment goes well, and thank you for the thoughts and prayers for my dad, and know also that you and your husband are in ours.
Symmetry- sometimes in hard to resist food. Prinny- Sorry for TOM cravings. I am just getting through it and I had horrid cravings for salt this time. crcossel- remember that your body isn't a science experiment. when you increase your exercise it can make you retain water. Push the water and stay on plan. Don't let the scale bring you down, when you know you are doing good. babybluess- that exercise program sounds great. You are so right baby steps. Do what you can without overwhelming yourself. Tonight is my second day of classes, its going pretty well. However I will say I am considering dropping my late start class that starts on Sept 18th, but we shall see. It all depends on how my classes are going at that point. I guess I wasn't expecting there to be quizzes every week in every class, and tests pretty much every 3 weeks in one class or another. |
