Dilligently for a week, exercise, 1500 calories or less, water water water....today was my weigh in day, and I've gained 2lbs. I'm so discouraged. I'm no where near TOM....aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh h

The scale can be fickle! Stick with your program, the two lbs. aren't fat, and they will disappear soon!

When that happened to me (and it did), usually the next week or two rewarded me with a nice loss.

Hang in there!

Just keep moving forward. Look at how great you did! The number on the scale is not the be all and end all, it's just the easiest way to measure. Take that frustration and bike it out, walk it out, punching bag it out.

I know it's frustrating. But take comfort and know that if you really really, really stick with your healthy plan - that there's no way you can not, NOT lose. Just give it a little more time. The pounds WILL come off. Hang tough. It's worth it. It's worth it. It's worth it.

You can't fail if you keep going! (You can do this. YOU CAN DO THIS). I've noticed when I start exercising and am sore I often gain weight initially, but then it whooshes away. The sore muscles retain water for awhile. Have you been exercising more than normal????

When that happens to me I give the scale the finger and ignore it for a few days. Yeah it's really frustrating but keep at it and you'll get sorted.

If you eat 1500 calories a day and exercise, you will lose weight. It SHOULD be that simple, like clockwork, but the human body is just weird and stubborn. Still, science is right, and if you stick with it, whatever this rebellion is on the part of your body will pass. Just think of it as a little hurdle on the path, jump over it, and keep on going. It'll pay off soon.

That happened to me too, 2 weeks ago.

Bang on plan, exercising, felt great, got on the scales to see a 2 lb gain.

Then last week, nothing! No gain, but no loss.

Today however, I've lost it all and then some! Just keep it up. Your body is getting healthier and stronger, and it will kick into gear!

Don't be discouraged, if you keep following a healthy eating and exercise plan your going to lose! Thats why I have learned to just stay away from the scale on a weekly basis. I might weigh myself once a month and then usually I am pleasantly surprised. But if I do it daily or weekly especially with flucuation and just starting to really exercise it just makes me discouraged.

I was stuckat 180 for about a month...was really getting tired of seeing that number...I could not for the life of me see 179...that is all i wanted was to be out of the 180's eventaully I got on the scale and it read 175 It's like it skipped the other lbs all together... so just hang in there...it WILL come off.
Good Luck!

Lol. I feel you Denise! I spent a month hovering around 253-255. I'ld be down 1/2 lb one day then back up the next but I stuck with my plan and excercise. I knew I was losing size because I was having a hard time keeping my pants up but then yesterday boom I went from 254 to 250 and today it read 246.
