Question for My Daily Plate users.

  • On my daily plate it gives you a convenient pie chart on how you are using up your calories labeled carbs, fats, and protein. How would the ideal pie chart look?? I guess my question is what are the "right" percentages for these catagories?? Thanks
  • I shoot for 40 carbs/30 protein/30 fat, but that is just me. I've seen others who shoot for other percentages. My 'shoot for' being said, my actual numbers often come in at 55/25/20, 60/20/20, etc. I try really hard not to let the protei get below 20%, fat sometimes gets too high...I don't think there is a 'right' answer, just what works best for you.

ETA - I add in more protein on days I weight lift, so those days tend to go higher protein, lower fat, carbs stay around the same.
  • Every one has a different plan. Do you want to live a lower carb lifestyle or lower fat or???

When I first started counting I really looked only at calories. Then I started thinking about quality. Then I started noticing carb, fat, proteins...
