freeze on the scale

  • Have posted in forever but I am down to 230lbs. Was up at 240 about a week and half ago and dropped 10 in 1 week. I am going to gym 5 days a week, and eating low calorie about 1400 calories give or take a few calories. I know 10lbs is a lot of weight for 1 week and is was probably mostly water weight I was storing but I like have completely haulted now. I lost 10lbs in 7 days and now its been 5 more days and I am still at 230. Whats up? I was getting all confident like yes I figure this out and I am sticking to it and now I have just came to hault and the scale doesn't want to move.

I haven't changed anything. I am still going to gym, eating low calorie and watching what I am eating. It was TOM the week B4 I lost the 10lbs so I think that was a lot of water from TOM but still shouldn't I see some movement.
  • I think it's completely normal to have a weight loss stall after a sudden drop in weight. I've seen that trend a lot myself, I definitely don't lose weight steadily. It doesn't mean you're doing anything wrong or that you're not losing fat.
  • If you are like me 1 week b4 TOM I gain at least 5 pounds sometimes more and then 1 week after TOM the 5 pounds drop plus maybe an extra 2 or 3 pounds so I've seen an 8 pound loss in a week but I knew 5 of those pounds were from TOM.. So hang in there you aren't doing anything wrong just mother nature
  • I don't know if you watch The Biggest Loser but it has been said on that show that the second week of weightloss is typically a very slow week for any weightloss. They call it the dreaded week 2.
Keep going as you are and the weight will eventually drop.
  • I do watch biggest loser love that show and I have heard them say week 2 is the worst week for weight loss. I got on the scale this morning and i said 229.2 then I got back on it said 230.0 then back on and 229.0 so it''s never read below 230 for me b4 so I am assuming it is 229.2 but I don't officially count being down till I have been there a few days!
