OK ladies need a bit of help, can I please have a recommendation for a calorie counting website? I am finally breaking down and trying to count calories. Any advice?
Cheers.
I think The Daily Plate is better if you eat a wide variety of pre-packaged or prepared food (it has all that in its database) and Fitday is better if you like to enter things by weight (sometimes The Daily Plate only has a "per serving" option, whereas you can always say "X grams" at Fitday).
I've been hearing great things about loseit.com
And yay you for calorie counting. It seems foreign and daunting now, but in a very short while you will become accustomed to it and wonder why you didn't do it earlier.
Calorie counting just makes so much sense. It's so logical. You're going to love it!
I like sparkpeople.com.
I think it comes down to personal preference. Maybe check out a few of them and see which one is most appealing.
I use DietPower.com ( not free but a low, one-off charge).
I like the way it presents the data but because it's not online (though forums are), adding unlisted food is a bit of a bind. With Sparkpeople, it's very rare to find anything that Someone, Somewhere hasn't listed already, even British branded food.
