Default Hungrier when working out

I feel soooo hungry today! Maybe because yesterday, thought I stayed in my calorie range, I ate like crap? I've also started working out more again and got up at 5 this morning to get some cardio in via Turbo Jam. Anyways, I'm sure this has been posted a hundred times, but do you all feel hungrier when you work out more? I started the day with a whole wheat bagel and T of cream cheese with a banana. Then I had some almonds/pistatchos, followed by a lean cuisine with carrots and a cup of hot chocolate (sugar free). I am already hungry and dinner is two hours away. What do you think? Thanks for the input! Sarah BTW I am eating between 1400-1600 calories and weigh 212 right now.

Yeah, if you eat 1500 calories of crap in a day, it's probably not going to fill you up. To be satisfied on 1500, you need to get some good stuff...protein, fiber, etc. And even eating the good stuff, 1500 may not be enough for you. It takes awhile to adjust and figure out what your body needs.

I do get hungrier on my heavier workout days, so I do eat a little more.
You may want to go ahead and up your daily calories a bit. I am 5'2" and eat 1400-1500 a day, maybe a little more.

Yes, you'll feel hungrier on some days when you work out. Try snacks/meals with protein. Yogurt is good as a before-workout snack (half an hour before). Or you can look into some of the protein powders that are available to mix with water or lowfat milk. Tuna... things like that.

Do you save up your calories for dinner? Because what you listed isn't very much to have eaten with dinner two hours away... Maybe spread things out more.
