Default The Daily Plate!

I use a site called the Daily Plate.
Just search for The Daily Plate.
It has been a lifesaver for me! When I was just trying to count calories, fat, etc. I was kind of floundering not having any rhyme or reason.
On this site you pick off a list what you ate, and then add it to the day you ate it. The site then calculates calories, cholesterol, carbs, fat, protein, sodium, etc.
As you go through the day, at the top it will tell you something like "You have 500 left today." Or, " You have gone over your intake by 200 calories."

There is also a chart for your weight loss, and lots of other things that I haven't even used yet!

PLEASE PLEASE check out this site! I love it!

I agree. I have been counting calories for almost 9 months now on my own. It was slightly annoying I have recently started using the daily plate and it has made my life much easier and more organized!! I wish i had started using it sooner

I use TDP, too. I love the meal options, because I rotate a lot of the same meals in and just one click fills out all the foods for me.

I use TDP too. Love it. My personal trainer actually set up a group on Livestrong (affiliated with TDB - you can see it in the tabs on top) and has his clients join and then he also monitors our intake and can leave notes and messages. It has made coutning calories so easy...

I use TDP as well. I have tried other sites, but this is the one that seem to work the best for me. It was the one I was constantly going back to. Now it is the only one I will use.

The more I look at TDP, the more I think I might be switching over from Fitday... the calorie counts for all the name brand food seems like it would make my life soooo much easier.

I switched over from fitday today after reading this post. I like the fact that it tallies your exercise into your daily calories. Thanks for posting this.

I bought the Fitday for my computer, so I like it as my permanent place to keep track. But I do use Daily Plate to calculate recipes that I make at home. I have to look into it more however for other useful calorie counting.

TDP is awesome... I'm a paid member there because I like some of the extra features and because I wanted to support their awesome service.

I also have the LiveStrong (TDP) application for my iPod Touch so I can log things when I'm away from my computer.

Just a warning about the daily plate...they are WAY OFF on calories for a few items we checked on a different thread. For example, Baileys Irish cream according to the Baileys web site has 270 calories an ounce. The daily plate lists it at around 73 calories an ounce. That is a huge difference of almost 200 calories in a tiny bit. I'd double check things that look too good to be true.
