Default Vacation!!!

It is my first day of vacation and I have already gone overboard with the eating, and it isn't even 4pm where I am so I haven't had dinner yet...

DH and I got up and left at 3:45 to drive from Atlanta to Destin so I had a cup of coffee with sugar and mocha almond fudge creamer at 3:45, half a banana at 5:30, a mini s'mores luna bar at 8:00, a southern style chicken biscuit and 2/3 of on oj from mcdonald's at 10:00, a sandwich for lunch with two slices of wheat bread, 1 deli thin slice of pastrami/1 deli thin slice of ham/2 deli thin slice of turkey/.5 slice swiss cheese at 1:30, half of a glazed krispy kreme at 2:30 and a mini swiss chocolate almond tobelerone at 3:15. Almost 1200 calories already, and no exercise since I got up at 3:15!

And, my mom is making homeade pizza for dinner....

There is no way I'm going to survive an entire week down here...

You'll do fine. We all go overboard a bit on vacation, but if you're going to Destin, I'll bet there are many healthy - and tasty options available!

Seafood! Just get it marinaded, blacked, grilled, seasoned, but not fried. And if you get breakfast at McDonald's again, an egg mcmuffin or sausage mcmuffin has fewer calories, and they're delish too.

And when it comes to pizza, veggies and thin crust might be a good request... if you can request...

But seriously, have fun, and if you go off your diet a little bit, no worries! Don't stress the small stuff.

And walking the beach might be good exercise, and shopping around too!

Have fun, and you'll be FINE!

Well, I downloaded some exercise videos off exercisetv.com and just did a 20 min cardio yoga, 20 min kickboxing and 10 minute abs. Later there will be some beach walking, too, I think. I don't know if can request the pizza to be made lighter - my mom thinks I'm wasting away and wants me to eat more, so I'll just have to not eat much...

tomorrow I'm going to find the fitness center and the grilled seafood! And, likely, the shopping you mentioned Stephi!

Shan, it's all about moderation, remember that. And, don't deprive yourself of stuff like pizza, just eat one slice or two. Just be careful is all.

I brought today in at right at 2000 calories... Not as bad as it could have been... Of course, my mom probably thinks I'm crazy for figuring out the calories for the pizza...

Don't give up! Just consider this week damage control- make a conscious effort to cut out some of the heavier items and make better choices, but enjoy your vacation! Don't feel guilty or give up, that will just give you license to eat all you want.

You're not crazy, you just want to be healthy and make better choices.
