cwoman- well I did get some sleep last night. I am going to head out in a hour or so..got a bag packed just incase i decide to stay overnight. I have 3 adult kids and this sure is a feeling i have never had before!! Your grandson is precious!!
scales have jumped up 5lbs since yesterday. time to get back to eating more food. I am hoping to have this tooth fixed by midweek and then maybe i will be able to eat and drink like normal. I know i didnt gain 5lbs from eating homemade veggie soup.LOL stupid scales!!

Zenor I wish that was all the more she rebelled. The girl comes up with new things daily and loves to spend money. Now that she has her tattoo she wants to trade her mini for a horse and then of course it has to have all new driving equipment. Her Dad told her absolutely not. She is ticked and why because if I wanted to do it I could. :-O I think I pay for everything I have and I take care of it, she ignores her mini all the time.

Rain I ate way to much one day this weekend. You know when I was done I was ashamed, felt horrible and really mad at myself. I just wish I could figure out why I do this to myself. Maybe I like being depressed and angry. Not sure why.

I have to agree with all of you, I will never eat the combo again. Tuna and coconut. YUCK! Sends shivers down my spine just thinking about it still.

Zenor that is fantastic news about the job. Wishing you good luck with it. How are you enjoying the new environment. Hopefully you won't have to move for a while now.

:carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot: For your new job! I am happy for you. :D I don't blame you for stress eating.

Dgramie, you must be sooo excited!

Cwoman, your grandson is such a little cutie!

Hi everyone! I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend. Ours was pretty good. :smug: I was on track and got a lot of walking done on Saturday. We went to do some shopping and errands. I am getting around sooo much better than I was in June, when I started this whole journey. Instead of having to be dropped and picked up at the door of the store and having to go home, wiped out after one store, I can hike it from the outer reaches of the parking lot to the door. Shop and bounce back to the car and move on to the next destination. Getting in and out of the car is easier, too. No more struggling and wondering if I am going to make it. I still have a long way to go, but the small amount of progress I have made so far has already made a big difference in my quality of life.

I wasn't able to work out yesterday, no privacy at all. And today is a bust because of my knee. *sigh* I am not happy about missing days. But I am happy that I am exercising regularly and that it is actually starting to become a habit. :D

Have a great, on track, happy day, everyone! :D

Well the scale didn't move for this week again. Hopefully I can keep it together all week this week and see a movement. Seems as if I am just stuck but I know I can do it with a little determination.

Feet are feeling better and now I think I can start walking again a little. I over did it this weekend but recognized it fast so I didn't cause a big set back. Seems nice to be able to walk and not think about how bad each step hurts.

dgramie it will come right back off as soon as you restart, don't fret.

Took GS for a drive with my pony last night in the new cart. He loved it because he could sit on the seat next to me or stand between my legs because the cart is big enough and has a back rest, my other didn’t. He went to lean forward to put his hands on the bar and I told him no because the horsey would fart in his face or worse poop. He thought that was SOOOO funny. Every time Peek lifted his tail he would say Peek farted and giggle. Seems good to be able to share my passion with him. He isn’t interested in ridding so I may find a new home for Pibbs. I only have time for one horse and Pibbs deserves better and so does Peek because he loves attention. I was offered a nice ridding/driving workhorse and all his tack and equipment for $500 but I am passing that up also even though its hard. I love workhorses and that is a steal. Still thinking about it.

Well I have to get going and I will talk to you all later.

GrammyL 10-13-2008 12:03 PM

Canadian woman your GS is such a little doll. I seem to enjoy my GS more than I did my own girls. LOL! I have mine every weekend and he is the center of attention which he really enjoys. He is a ham.

Rain that is fantastic that you are seeing the changes you are seeing. I think back to how tired I was when I was at 235. I just didn't want to move, weekends it just started earlier sitting on the sofa. I would cook a quick junky meal for the family or we ordered out and then hit the chair and smoke. Now, I cook my meals and go and enjoy the great outdoors or clean house. Lately its run the roads but hopefully that is done for a while. I like relaxing when I get out of work.

I'm so tired I can hardly type. We had a great Thanksgiving with the family home and today I gave mom a perm. That's why I'm so tired. I hate doing that but she needs one every few months because her hair is so straight. She can't go to a salon to get it done because she's not able to sit up too long (although she has to when I do it but we can rest if we need to). I was so tired that I walked into the door frame when I was going into her room. Didn't hurt any body parts but that tells you how tired I am.

I've read the posts and the little guy is really cut Canadianwoman. Dgramie you must be nearly out of your skin awaiting the new arrival. We're having one in March and I'm getting a bit excited now myself. Zenor great news about the job. GrammyL, you know why some animals eat their young, but this will pass with time. Rain Dancer, we bought a car that I couldn't get out of without a struggle but since I've lost over 40 pounds it's easy now so I know what you're talking about. Grand isn't it to get about without trouble.

Must put my head down and my feet up for a few minutes.

Tinky009 10-14-2008 12:16 AM

Ok, I gotta keep a better grip on here. LOL I haven't been back on any plan since getting back. I plan on finishing the week out, and recharging myself, and sit my booty down and re-evaluate my plan of action. I can't seem to get motivated, but with my clothes slowly fitting a bit snugger, makes this girl have a tiny ember still. LOL!

Rain- Thanks for the welcome back! It's nice to take a vacation, but I truly believe it's a lot harder to get back into your routine when you get home. I am trying.

Grammy- Hey woman!! Thanks for keeping DH and I in your thoughts. It's not easy. But then again, I took a vow for better or for worse. DH is ok, he's able to joke about it at times, but he has his tense moments. I wish they would hurry and sort it all out and tell him whether he will have a job by the end of the year or not. Just wishful thinking on my part.
Tuna and coconut? I love both, but I don;t know about putting them 2gether. LOL....I am ready to be creative on this plan again. Atleast I can put to rest that Tuna Coconut salad recipe. I'm kidding. ;) I am sorry about your foot issues. Glad to know it's better. Thanks for the awesome welcome back! I've missed ya woman. I will go back and re-read your post more and reply. I just basically skimmed through.

Zenor- WAHOOOOO, congrats on getting a job! Where are you working, if you don't mind me asking? I wish you lots of success and happiness. Glad you're liking ABQ. Around this time of the year I miss the luminarias. To me, that meant the holidays were around the corner. Let us know how the new job goes for you.

Retire- Get some rest!! But how wonderful you had a nice Thanksgiving! Man I gotta start thinking about that soon. Yikes! It'll be our first as a married couple. Nothing different, but we're married. LOL

Canadian- Don't feel bad, we understand that you have a busy life too. I mean look at me, lately, I have been coming and going lots.

Ok, need to get me to bed, I have to get up at 5 tomorrow.

Have a great evening or morning wherever you are. LOL Talk to you tomorrow.

dgramie 10-14-2008 07:03 AM

I have a beautiful granddaughter. Mom and baby are doing good. Mom had to have a csection after a long day of labor.

Congratulations on the new granddaughter dgramie!

retiredone 10-14-2008 12:22 PM

Congratulations on the new baby, dgramie. How much did she weigh? Glad everyone is doing well.

GrammyL 10-14-2008 01:50 PM

Tinky I sure hope that everything works out for the good with your DH's job. Chase is another huge company so maybe his opportunities will broaden. The thing that amazes me is how much propaganda that DH and I still get from WaMu every week. I imagine they hire a company to send this out and maybe its part of the contract that they keep sending. Not sure.

As far as restarting the program I would like to suggest that you really plan out the first couple of weeks because its tough to restart. There are a few things that I allow myself to have just to flavor my salads and proteins. They don't affect my loss but other than that I am on plan. Oh, I also don't eliminate any fruit other than watermelon. For some reason watermelon affects my weight loss.

Chele615 10-14-2008 04:28 PM

Congratulations dgramie!!!! I'm sure she's beautiful :)

zenor77 10-14-2008 04:46 PM

Dgramie~ Congratulations on the new granddaughter!

Thanks for all the congrats on the job. It's a receptionist/admin position with a sign design and manufacturing company. The do building and ADA signs and mostly work with architects. It sounds like I'll have lots to do (no boredom) which is great. I had way too much down time at my last few jobs.

canadianwoman 10-15-2008 04:37 AM

I am just popping in to say congratulations on the new granddaughter. I am looking forward to seeing her pics.
Babies are sooooo special.:D
