Dear Photochick (and others!)...

i admit it. i thought you were crazy. outta your gourd, nutso, just plain WRONG.

but you weren't.

and i am sooooo feaking glad i listened. albeit with great reservations, fear and a general " fine, i will prove she is wrong" attitude.

i stopped the STENUOUS exercise regime. i still exercise but about every other day. and for about 30 minutes.

i eat a lot more and more variety.

today will be:

alterantive bagel with 2 T cream cheese

homemade meatloaf
yellow rice
green beans

plain yogurt with SF preserves

green grapes

almonds
SF jello
lots of coffee with delicious (bad for you) special occasion creamer

i bought a small bottle of it and it is yummo but not a everyday treat. and i dont know when i will eat the above. i work 10 hours and have 3 fifteen minute breaks and 1 hour for lunch.

and i def ate more on my days off and my short work days. calories are averaging about 1400.

i eat at every break and drink a ton of water.

and.......................i am down to 227! i will see a loss for the month of september. not a big one but a loss. and it isnt the end of the month so it amy be more.

i read something somewhere around the same time you gave me such great advice. it made perfect sense. eat 250 calories less each day and burn 250 calories more than usual. you will lose a pound a week.

well, duh!

but i didnt get it till then.:dizzy:

Way to go! Isn't it nice to realize that we can still eat and lose weight! Great job!

I'm so happy for you!

PhotoChick 09-27-2008 01:11 PM

Yay for you! :)

You know what ... there have been many times I've done something that someone suggested with this attitude that "Fine. You watch. I'll do it and SHOW you that you're wrong." :D

Sometimes we're all stubborn.

.

and i feel better too.

i am so much more relaxed too.

not feeling like a failure and suddenly have a ton more time to do fun stuff i really enjoy and missed so much.

crocheting a blanket (i call it the biga$$ blanket- been working on it for 10 years- no lie. but i procrastinate), reading books and magazines and listening to NPR with cat on my chest and just being.

sigh....i sure do like things better now.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

to everyone that helped me!!!

you rock!! :carrot::carrot::carrot:

OMG too funny! I do the same thing! I have a sweater that I've been working on for years. I've finished many other projects in that time, but not my sweater. I started it so long ago I had to frog it and start over because it was going to be too big. Since my sister is preggo I have an excuse not to work on it again...

You're doing great!
