Question how long should i wait?

ok... so i started in August at 1500 Calories Daily... then i was told that i should go up to around 1800 Calories Daily because im 265 lbs... 48yrs young... and 5'7"... so in the beginning of September i went up to 1800...
well, today is 2 weeks at 1800 calories and i am still 265 lbs... do you think i should give it another 2 weeks and stay at 1800 for 1 whole month to see if anything happens? or do you think i should take it down to 1700 Calories Daily...?
i walk with Leslie Sansone every single day with DH and have a Sit Down 8hr job... so im pretty sedentary.....

I personally think that maybe you should give it a few more weeks. If you are not gaining that it good and means you arent eating too much so just stick with it. Sometimes out bodies are stubborn and take longer than we want to show results

It took me forever to start losing weight. Drove me nuts, I even went to have my thyroid checked because I was sure that was the problem. Once the pounds started dropping, they started dropping fast, but it probably took almost two months to get the scale moving.

I have no advice to offer regarding the calories. However, I wanted to say I think you're totally FABULOUS for sticking with this despite the scale reading. That's tough, I've been there and think it's a greater achievement than doing it with constant scale feedback. Do you know how fabulous you are????

I always thought your should calculate your calories by how much lean body mass you have.

Though at 1800 cals for someone your height you should see some weight loss. If you're not gaining weight that is an excellent sign... give it a few more weeks to give your body time to adjust. If nothing happens then go lower.

Give it time. It took me weeks to see any loss and then suddenly I dropped like a rock. Then I stalled. Then i dropped.

2 weeks isn't a long time when you're shocking your body into a new way of living.
