its almost 2pm Saturday and i just barely went into FitDay to enter my food for today and its a whole different format when did this happen? i was in it yesterday evening and it was the old format... now i have to get used to it all over again... and being a Newbie... it took me a while to learn... Ooooooh Boy...
it must've just happened. By coincidence, I just bought Fitday PC online at the end of last week, so I wasn't using the free one. There are things I liked about the online version, but now it looks like fitday PC! I'm not a big fan of change (other than my weight or size! )
It changed bt yesterday and today. I was kind of disappointed. I can't scroll to find foods that I had entered anymore. I have to click next and wait I also don't like change :P
I really love the new format and features, save for the fact that you have to go through page after page after page of custom foods. Other than that, it's a lot easier/quicker now.*shrugs*
I -love- the new FitDay, particularly the "View my Recent Foods" function. Because of the way I structure my meals, my lunch one day is exactly the same as the dinner I had the night before. Because of the new function, I can go, click the checkboxes for all the components of my meal the night before, and add them at once. You could do that before, I guess, but the great thing about the change is that they are added in the SAME QUANTITIES. So I get my exact meal MUCH faster than before.
I don't like the Custom Food scrolling, but I'll adjust because of the new "Recent Foods" stuff. And they've added measurement and mood tracking, too, which are seriously good enhancements.
I noticed that their food database has been updated a bit, but not enough for it to rival the Daily Plate and other calorie counting sites. I think they should focus more on the database than on anything else... but I do like the new change. It will take some getting used to, however.

I think they fixed the Custom Food scrolling. And I also *love* that it remembers your quantities now. And I've been finding foods that weren't in the database before.
I think this is a lot easier to use than the old version. If you are looking for a food that you haven't eaten for several weeks, it is easy to find rather than trying to re-create it. I think they did a good job--I had all but stopped using it because it was so cumbersome. This is better.
OOOHHHH! I just had a glance at it. I really like it. All my custom foods are on it. I haven't logged in since Aug 1st since I'm in LA, but I love it! it seems to offer more and it stored all the past weights I had over the last few years.
I haven't been counting calories lately, just tracking my weight at fitday and was I surprised this morning!
I like it I think. I always appreciated the recent foods thing and saving custom foods. The measurement thing is wonderful. And I like the weight log much better.
I've been on Fitday for so long I couldn't believe they just now updated it. I love it! lots of cool new features. The only thing I don't like is when I add a new custom food it won't let me specify beyond "1 seving" like Tbs or cup. I don't need the fancy mood crap. LOL!

You're right, that is annoying. However, you can work around it - instead of creating a new food, modify an existing one that has similar serving types to what you want.
