When I worked at Pizza Hut long ago, the breadsticks were made from the same dough as the pizza - and all the crusts were made with the same dough (with varying amounts of oil put on at cooking time), no matter the thickness. It's most efficient for pizza restaurants to do this. Who wants to make several types of dough?

You can order a pizza with no cheese. I do that all the time. No cheese, lots of veggies.

Papa John's now offers a whole wheat crust.
When I want pizza, I use pita bread or Flatout's Light Sun Dried tomato wrap. I mix a small amount of olive oil into a couple tablespoons of tomato paste and tomato sauce. I season it with Italian herbs. Smear the sauce on the pita bread or wrap and then top with turkey sausage, turkey pepperoni, olives, onions, peppers, artichoke, and Weight Watcher's cheese. Yummy. |
