Mmmmmmm - hummus!!! Tzatziki!!! Good stuff!
Hummus - a couple cans of garbanzo beans (I drain and rinse them), minced garlic (depending on your tolerance level, anywhere from 1 clove to 4-6 -
hot stuff), pureed in the food processor - add a couple tablespoons lemon juice, whir it some more, (it'll be dry and chunky) - while the machine is running, add 1/3 cup water (slowly), and a teaspoon (or more - taste) of toasted sesame oil (or, a tablespoon or so of tahini). Grind in a bit of pepper, and add a bit more water while the machine is running. Taste it and adjust the seasonings (add a bit of salt, pepper, more oil or more lemon juice). I use the sesame oil, 'cause a little goes a loooong way. Oh, and if you prefer a milder garlic flavor, use roasted garlic instead of raw.
Tzatziki - basically a mixture of minced cucumber (peeled, or not), crushed/minced garlic, unsweetened/lo/no-fat yogurt, lemon juice,
fresh chopped mint and oregano, a pinch of S & P, with a wee bit of extra-virgin olive oil swirled in. Excellent over grilled meat of any kind ! (Or eaten with a spoon - a guilty pleasure) - I don't use measurements typically, but if needed, there are recipes on line.
And, yes, we have an issue with garlic breath here - but not with vampires!
