Default I'm so excited!!!

So this is mostly for anyone who might be "lurking" and hesitant to start a plan...I was really nervous about calorie counting as I am NOT a dieter. Feeling like I HAD to diet always made me so mad and I would give up a couple of days into things. It was psychological for me. I didn't want to be the one who couldn't have that piece of cake etc...

Anyways, I almost feel like calorie counting has become my hobby!! I'm having so much fun looking up different choices, and planning meals for myself and my family accordingly. I feel great knowing that I am making positive changes for all of us!! We still do enjoy sweets, etc..throughout the week, I just make sure that everyone is eating healthy, well-balanced foods as well, and that for me, it's within my calorie plan.

Also, I wake up everyday almost overwhelmed with the choices that I have for meals/snacks for the day...there really are so many things you can make to stay on plan!

Just wanted to share my excitment

Very nice post - congrats on doing so well.

Yes, calorie-counting is not about denying yourself anything. It is about making better choices.

I feel the same way!!! I've done all the "diets"....and when I feel deprived, I eat...
I've just started this week and I'm so happy to get "back to basics"....calories in and calories out. The real way to lose weight and become healthy!!
LOVE IT..

Congratulations on finding something that you like! I love calorie-counting. It's the only thing that worked for me.

you know I feel the same way..Been counting a couple of weeks and I am noticing I am MUCH more conscious about what I am putting into my body now..Before I never thought about that type of thing..If I wanted a fast food cheeseburger I got it and didnt think twice about calories or health benefits and since I have started counting I am more conscious about making better choices in foods that I consume because I dont wanna go for a cheeseburger and consume all my calories on one meal...

Southerngal - that is TOTALLY how I am....before counting, I would grab a handful of goldfish crackers (I have a 3 year old) or some gummy bears, not even thinking about it. That's almost 300 calories right there!!! I still eat those things...I had 10 gummy bears on a scoop of low fat ice cream last night (YUM!), but it ALL fits into my alloted calories for the day!!
