Default Calorie tapering?

Meg gave me some great advice once again. My question is this:
Has anyone ever tried calorie tapering? There is an online book that talks about it(Burn the fat, feed the muscle).
It is when your first meal of the day has the most calories and your last meal has the least.

I was thinking of starting Monday like this:
Meal 1: 400 calories
Meal 2: 375 calories
Meal 3: 350 calories
Meal 4: 300 calories
Meal 5: 250 calories
Of course the numbers are rounded off. I'll never get them that exact.

I want to lose fat. I don't care as much about scale weight. Has anyone tried this? What do you think?
Thanks

I think a lot will depend on your schedule. I often go out to dinner with clients unexpectedly, so I try to keep my morning meals light in case that happens. If you have a lot of control over what and where you eat, it seems like a good plan. I've found that eating a big breakfast definitely makes me less hungry during the day.

I wish i was able to do that with my meals. I am alone for breakfast and have to cook dinner for the family at night. I try to eat a lot of veggies with dinner to fill me up but not add alot of calories. I do think I feel better on the weekends when I eat the biggest meal in the middle of the day. Good luck with it and let us know how it goes.

In general it sounds like a good plan especially the focus on breakfast But as others have mentioned above it depends on your lifestyle and schedule.

I tend to eat defined meals for lunch and dinner but during the day I get pretty busy and graze more. I eat alot of quantity during the day but pretty low calorie since it is alot of fruits and veggies.
