Compared to the online one: It has a lot more reports. It lets you track your measurements, and your moods, and has a journal. (I can't remember if the online did this or not.) I find custom foods much easier to create, but the food database is the same as the one online. You can create as many different accounts for different people as you could possibly want.

Personally, I love it. I thought it was well worth the money.

Yes and yes.
You can create a new account for each person.

I like the PC version better. Creating custom foods is easier. I like the additional reports, charts and graphs. I create custom activities too.

The look, feel and interface are much more user friendly. I love the calendar. Of all of the things I have bought for myself on this journey - Fitday is my best bargain and I would have a hard time doing this without it.

I agree with that. At the time I had a mediocre connection (slow at times) and I decided I'd rather have it on my PC. Eventually I put it on my laptop so I didn't have to be online to keep track.

I was wondering about the Fitday PC too. I used to use fitday online, but have started using dailyplate b/c it has name brand things. Is FD PC really good for adding name brand products?

I got Fitday PC and love it, I add in brand name things all the time, using the custom foods function. Then when I buy that food again its there, which I think the online does that too.

The reason I like the PC version mostly though is the tracking, for instance when it averages your losses and tells you what your weight could be if you keep losing at that average.

Even though it may not always be accurate (plateaus) it is motivation none the less. It also has a mood tracker, which can be good for emotional/boredom eaters (me).

I enter my calories into fitday from work or home so I can't see the benefit of having it just at home and having to write everything down until I can get back to my home computer.

The food database is the same whether you are online or using the Fitday PC, so Fitday PC doesn't have additional name brand products. As the previous poster stated, you can add custom foods.

Our internet connection is iffy, but we have a Mac so I have to use the online version. I wish they made a version for Macs.
