Valentine's Day Goal
Anyone else interesting in setting a Valentine's Day goal? I want to hit the first mini goal I set for myself which is 225 lbs. When I reach that I'm going to reward myself with a massage at a local spa. Could really use it will all the exercise I'm doing!
I like having the goal thread going because it gives everyone a place to check in for encourgement and a place to celebrate success :) |
I was trying to hit goal by Valentine's Day, but I don't think it's going to happen. I seem to be able to lose about 2 pounds/month, so it will take me until about March/April to hit goal. As long as I reach it in a healthy way, that's fine! :)

I am going to se up a big goal...not so i get disappointed but so i work my butt off to get it I want 185 by valentines :) (thats smaller then even my prepregnancy weight which was 189)

My Valentine's Day goal is to lose 10 pounds and be at 210 Ibs! I hope I can bring in an even smaller weight then 210!

I'd like to join, too. My goal for Valentine's Day is to count my calories and exercise every day. I'm such a slow loser and my scale is nutty, so until I get a new one, I'd like to use that as my goal. Switzie, congratulations on your success! Counting calories does work. Good luck to everyone! Yesterday I had 1360 cals. and did 30 minutes on the treadmill and 30 minutes of a video. What did everyone else do? Good luck to all. Dena :) |
yesterday I had just under 1400 cals and did 1 hour mini trampolines (split into 2 half hours) and 15 min weights

My valentines day goal is to not have to buy my partner jewelry this year. :) Oh, 225 would be nice.

Yesterday I was about 1960 calories (my goal is between 1800-2000) and burned 635 calories doing 15 minutes on elliptical and an hour strength training class.

I want to be in the 190's... I don't care where in the 190's, as long as I'm there. I really want to say bye-bye to 200 pounds FOREVER. It'll be a great day for me when I get out of the 200's.

Layri, I am so looking forward to that day too. I have further to go but for the first time in a long time I actually feel like I can do this. Calorie counting works for me!

I'd love to join. A Valentine's goal sounds great. I'm going to shoot for 149. That's 7 lbs. Reasonable. I haven't seen the 140s for quite awhile. So I'm committing to 1500-1700 cals per day. Exercise at least 4 times per week ( I need to get out and start running again anyways) and eat lower fat/lower sugar. I want to feel incredibly sexy on Valentines:). Onward and downward!

Yesterday I was at 1944 calories and burned 732 with an hour of cardio (30 min jogging/walking intervals and 30 min elliptical).

Hey Counters!! Hmm...let's see I want to see a 7 lb loss by :val1: V-Day. 10 would be nice, but I'll shoot for 7. LOL! I was low on calories yesterday...TOM ugh! Deb, I actually use a heart rate monitor (which by the way I love having!!!) and it gives a much more accurate count. The 635 calories were for a 15 min warm up on elliptical and then an hour weight lifting class at my gym.
Yesterday was 1980 calories with 482 calories burned with an hour weight lifting class at the gym. |
hey everyone, im back after a weird break (i seem to take them in times of illness and stress it seems) so im aiming for a 4lbs initiall loss, which may fly off because this weekend i start my new exercise routine, and from then onwards, if it does fall off, i will set it to how much i seem to be loosing. if i set a high goal and dont meet it i always get down. im trying to stick to 1300 cals a day at the mo, i walk on average about 3-7 miles a day, and with swimming and running i hopefully, will be able to feel great for valentines day (aslong as im under 13 stone i will be a happy bunny)

I had 1230 cals yesterday, went on the treadmill for an hour (while watching TV) and worked out with my weights.

Wow, I think it would drive me crazy if I waited till Valentine's Day to weigh myself. LOL I'm trying to go back to weighing in once a week, but since I'm back on track, I want to see the stuff I gained come off. LOL! :dizzy:

im scales addicted, it helps keep my mind eased when i am loosing, but it does the opposite when i dont loose, its very hard, i guess in mymind i loose so much enjoyment from pigging out, i have a crazy weighing habbit instead of a binging one.mentally unhealthy i know...
wel thanks to my unhealthy mind im down a pound today maybe 2 WOHOOO, i think since TOM stopped she was retaining a few pounds so its nice to see that 3 weeks work was not a waste of time :) im not gonna change my ticker till tuesday because im hoping to swim today or monday :-) |

i am a returning calorie counter, i used this site a year ago and stopped using it for a while. i have lost and gained 15-20 pounds over a few times. this time i weigh the most i have ever weighed, and i am ready to lose the weight for good. i really feel like this is a year for change, and i am so pumped to go on this diet and get back to my healthy eating habits that i had when i weighed less. so anyway my ultimate goal is to lose about 30 pounds or so by the time bikini season comes :) and i am planning on doing the new york city nautica triathlon in june so i wanna get back into shape (i used to row for my college team but i quit that because it was way too much time). my valentine goal is going to be to lose 10 pounds or so which shouldnt be too bad because a lot of it will be waterweight. but i am really excited to have all of your support and to reenter this journey with other people to talk to about it! :) |
welcome back melisa, you have a great attitude to weight loss, which is always good to see, becaus ei think your more likely to succeed :-) good luck on your journey. i have about 16lbs to go to my happy goal, so if u wanna chat somtime feel free :-)

yeh thanks tinky, my happy goal, is a weight i was origionally very happy to get to when i was 247 or whatever i was.... but i dunno if its an ultimate goal, ill have to wait and see. :-) see what jean size i am then i guess.

Well I am 3lbs closer to my goal of one 185. which means 12 more lbs to lose by valentines!!! we can do this!!!

Free- I am putting it into my head that my official weigh in day is Sunday. I used to be a every day weigher. I can't promise I will not weigh every but I'm trying. :o

I do not really have a valentines goal, but my birthday is at the end of Feb., so I hope to be in the lower 150s by then.:carrot:
