I was just on the fitday website, and when I typed in egg for the nutrient anayasis. The large egg didn't match what my egg carton said. For some reason I alway thought that an egg was an egg if it was the same size, I could see if it was Omega 3 added but even the calorie count was different. Is this the way it always is? Do I just change everything to what my cartons say? I am new to this (about a week) and want to make sure that I do it right.
My personal experience - your carton/container is always going to be more accurate than FitDay, which contains averages for many different brands/methods/products. If I have nutrition information on my carton, I use that.
I look at the different choices in Fitday. If one is close, I use it. If not, I create a custom food. Particularly for something that I eat regularly (like eggs).
