Lightbulb My diary

Hello!

I'm going to be posting my weight, daily calorie intake, and exercise (type & calories lost) daily here.

I'm excited to be part of the community. I'm 20, 5' 1, and began at 73 kg. I'm hoping posting here will help keep me motivated and accountable . I've been using MyFitnessPal to track calories, and currently I'm at 70.8 kg.

Hello, I was also wanting to start an informal weight loss blog/diary, maybe I can jump on yours and we can motivate each other?

About me: 36 years old, 171 lbs. today. Started my fitness plan on FEB. 22 I was 189 then.

I ran my first ever 5K last weekend.
It took me 22 days to not HATE my diet.
Today I walked past doughnuts in the office and did not even want one. Maybe I have been a sugar addict my whole life? Maybe I am just now breaking that cycle.
Had a great workout last night I am really loving the circuit training right now and getting away from my machine. The machine seems to burn more calories, but the circuit training builds muscle so, I guess we need both. I am sure I will fall back on the machine soon enough.

20 lbs. down officially today. Endorphins have kicked in and the workouts are now like a drug I am jonesing for in the evenings. Definitely on a good path at the moment. weight loss is still slow, but as I was saying yesterday, sometimes you have to just be happy that you are losing not gaining. I have a friend in for gastric bypass surgery today, just feeling really grateful that I don't need to do anything so extreme. Happy dieting.

Went off the rails a bit this weekend. Mother's day dinner out, Special brunch, but I kept the exercise up and maintained this weekend, so that feels like a victory. Back on the diet train today, but you forget how just a few days off plan and you are starving all over again on the same number of calories you were eating before. That is price for a few days of butter, sugar and carbs.
