Default Question about my calorie intake. HELP PLEASE!

Hey girls! So I started my counting calorie diet today and I think I done great. I'm using the daily plate website to help keep count of how many I use and how many I have left. It says I can have 941 calories a day that doesn't include my fitness routine. So I do an hour of aerobics and burn 399 calories so I put it down and it added calories back. Does this mean I can eat more? It tells me how much I have left for the day and whenever I burn and put it down it adds them back on. I'm confused. Please help. I really want to lose!!

The Daily Plate works from the assumption that you should eat back what you burn off in exercise. (It's called "net calories".) You need to decide whether or not you agree with this. Personally, when I'm losing, I don't want to eat back exercise calories--I want to use the extra deficit created by exercise to lose more weight. But people disagree on this, so you need to decide for yourself how you want to do it. If you decide you don't want to eat your exercise calories, then don't enter the activity into the Daily Plate, or just ignore it and eat your 950. It's totally up to you!

Congrats on starting counting calories! It's a GREAT way to lose weight and keep it off!

thanks so much. I felt like I ate a lot yesterday and I was almost sick. lol So I think I'll not put down my activity and lose even more! Unless I get a lil hungery. lol I can't wait to see results.
