Default Breyers 100 Calorie Icream Cups!

First let me say Hello! I'm new here!

But has anyone else seen these?! I just picked up the cookies & cream and they are great! Only 1.5g of fat too! Of course they arent massive but its definitely satisfies my craving. Although part of me knows the icecream isnt diet food, I don't really think eating one (or two!) a day is going to hurt me...right?

I have one of these almost every day. I cant deprogram myself from eating something sweet every night. I keep it in context of my calories for the day and I've been fine thus far.... just feeling slightly guilty for not being able to quit cold turkey. I eat mine with a gelato spoon too. yay ice cream!

Oooh - see, since I can't buy them individually, I'd eat the whole box, so nope - can't have 'em in the house!

Mmm yes, I love the vanilla-chocolate swirl cups, which are the only ones I've ever found at my supermarket. You say there's cookies and cream? What other flavors are there?

valpal23, is a gelato spoon the same as a demitasse spoon? I use a demitasse spoon for eating any dessert (ice cream, yogurt, pudding) that comes in a little cup (I figure more bites that way). Even a baby spoon would work

heatherangel, here's a little your way

Ice cream is my absolute favorite and I can't have it in the house. In any capacity. I know myself and I know my weaknesses and ice cream is the biggest weakness that I have and the only way for me to get around that - is to not have it in my house. No great loss, I'd much rather be thin and healthy.

I can't even imagine how many gallons of the stuff I've consumed in my lifetime. I guess the memories will have to do for the time being. But I really don't miss it. The only way I will ever eat it again is outside of my home. In a single serving. A real single serving, not like in the old days when a single serving for me meant going back to the container til it was all gone. I would certainly LIKE for there to be a way for me to be thin and healthy AND have ice cream, but there isn't.

As far as eating 2 of them a day. Well that's up to you. I personally would try to limit it to one. I think you could be getting way more nutritional value using up 100 calories in a different manner. More protein, fiber, vitamins, etc...

Welcome to 3FC and good luck to you!

We tried the Breyer's Ice Cream sandwiches last week. They were ok. I like the Edy's/Dreyer's chocolate covered ice creams better. I also love the Edy's/Dreyer's Slow Churned Low Fat vanilla. It is a perfect vehicle for summer fruits. Doesn't taste 'diety' at all.

Ahhhh. The magic of substituting chemicals for real food....

I would definitely limit it to one a day. For instance, if you eat 1400 calories a day, and have two, then you are eating 1/7 of your daily intake in ice cream. If you eat 1200 a day, then you are eating 1/6 of your intake in ice cream. Eating only one, and having it be only 1/14 or 1/12 of your diet is much, much better.

Also, be sure that it is really your only treat for the day, because of the same reason. Having two of these and a 100 calorie pack in the same day, for someone eating 1200 calories, is 1/4 of their intake in diet junk food.

I tend to gobble things like that up with the "just one more..." apporoach.
