Default Need some help?

Attention all you calorie counters I need some help.
I have been stuck at my same weight for about 4 weeks. I have tried changing things. Maybe I changed too much. I was eating about 1600 calories and weight training for 45 minutes 3 days a week and some form of cardio for one hour 5 -6 days a week. My weight loss was 1 or 2 lbs. a week. Then nothing. So I got discouraged and went down to 1200 calories a week. Maybe I went too extreme. I stopped the cardio continued the weight training. We are now raking our campground everyday for anywhere from 1 to 4 hours. You think I would lose weight. Where is the calorie in calorie out theory?

I think you are consuming too few calories.

Also, have you been having snacks? Eating snacks can boost your metabolism and be a big help in weight loss.
I am eating 5 or 6 times a day, about 2 or 2.5 hours apart..the week I eliminated my snacks, I was UP a pound!
Good luck!

Hi Sharon,
Oh I have totally been there! It sounds like a plateau. One thing that worked for me was mixing up my cardio and doing some intervals. I had been walking and I added some jogging to my routine. Anything that can get your heartrate up to like 90% of max for a few minutes at a time would be good. Also, changing your calories can help. If 1200 isn't working, go back up to 1400 or maybe even 1600. Plateaus are so annoying! In my experience, even with changing things up, I stayed at the same weight for a month or so. Very frusterating! Eventually you'll start losing again, just have to be patient.
