Okay, so I have some pretty bad Acanthosis Nigricans on my inner thighs, and a little bit (but not horrible like my thighs) on other parts of my body, simply from beings as large as I am. I'm wondering if anyone out there has/had the same issue and whether losing the weight made it go away, or at least improved it?
It's the Insulin Resistance. Though my IR is under control and my a1c's come back fine, I have no idea how long it will be before it fades. Endoc has no clue either.
But still trying to lose weight, so we'll see what we see when I get there.
Yes, most of mine went away with my Insulin Resistance, about 20 pounds ago. I do have a little left on my inner thighs, but it's 90% gone from elbows, knees, back of the neck. I can wear my hair in a ponytail again without being self-conscious!
