Default Victoria's Secret depression

So...went today to the store to buy a bra that fits. I was willing to spend whatever I needed, just to get a bra that made my saggy boobs look semi-normal again, in and out of clothes.

I got measured. 32". Tried the cups....Tried a 32A. Way small. B....small. C....nearly there, but all the extra skin wouldn't fit in the cups. D...non-existant. I asked the lady helping me, and nearly cried. Literally. They had no 32Ds in the store. I think I could wear a 32C in a full-coverage, but of course they started at 34. So no go there either. I sat in the dressing room trying not to cry after the last failure of a bra.

Looking online now. I hate to order bras online, especially $45 ones that I haven't tried on and won't know if they fit. Maybe I'll get lucky.

Oh, and our planned trip to Chili's, where I'd found a nice entree I could fit into my calories for the day, was canceled as well when the place was too busy. We had a concert to get to, so we had to get somewhere we could get in without a wait. Ended up at Applebees, which I hadn't planned for.

I ordered grilled chicken off the menu...the fiesta grilled chicken. Yeah...it came out slathered in some sort of mayonnaise and COVERED in about a cup of melted cheese. I scraped off all I could and ate mostly just the chicken and about half the rice, or maybe 3/4 of the rice. I ignored the tortilla strips and had a house salad with dressing on the side. Got home...the chicken meal was about 1,300 calories. Slightly...no, make that WAAAAAY over my limit for the meal. But considering my "modifications" of scraping off the sauce and cheese, I think I did ok.

Grrrr.....I'm ready for bed. Today has sucked. And EVERY time I turned around today there was some cute little Girl Scout peddling cookies! One more and I'd have had a box of cookies GONE in the car on the way home.

Please remember that Bra sizes just like clothes varrry by manufacturer so please do not get upset. The people working in Victoria Secret's while very nice are not proffessional bra fitters and are working with only one manufacturer of bras. Try going to either a Bra store or a department store like Bloomingdales to be fitted by a proffessional. The Bra's might be a little more expensive but once you figure out what works for you, you can find it somewhere else for less. Trust me I know I had a reduction about 20 years ago.

Yeah, that fiesta chicken stuff is wayyyy covered w/cheese and sauce. But you did well!! Applebees does have some amazing weight watchers stuff on their menu as well. Like the Cajun Lime Tilapia. mmmm sooo good! As for bras, you're even lucky you can wear a VS one. My tatas are too big enough to even squeeze. lol! Good Luck, you'll find one!

Don't let Victoria's secret get you down. My sister is one of the most beautiful, fit people I know and she can't fit in their bras either.

The one thing I've always heard about VS is that their stuff doesn't fit anyone who's larger, either in band size or cup size. In fact, I've read blog posts where people say that VS measures them wrong in order to come up with a size that the store carries, rather than give the correct size.

If you have a Nordstrom nearby, I recommend going there. Their lingerie assts have always been very helpful, have measured me correctly, and have found me nice stuff.

I had really good luck at Macy's--I was measured and found good bras there. I have not stepped into a VS in atleast a decade but have decided I will soon just to see how things "measure up." A friend of mine said the swimsuits online were wonderful--and there are a ton with Wonderbras built in which I need.

I don't shop at VS, nothing usually fits well there. I usually get my bras at JC Penney or similar dept. store. I love Vanity Fair, and Bali bras for comfort and style.

I think the 32 measurement was right...I've tried on a couple of 32s in other stores and they were fine. Maybe cup sizes will differ from store to store, though, depending on style?

JC Penney didn't have ANY 32s above a 32A. I'm wearing a 34 now and the boobs start sliding out the bottom....no Macy's or Nordstrom. I'll check Dillard's, maybe...and Sears?

I'd settle for Wal-Mart at this point, if it fit right....
